This week I was asked to be a guest designer for 7 Kids College Fund. The challenge for this week was anything with layers, flowers and to use an image carried by 7 Kids College Fund. The stamp I chose to use is Cinderella by Kraftin' Kimmie.
I love this image and have found that I like many of Kraftin' Kimmie's images. The skirt of her dress was quite the challenge to color. So many folds and coloring the lights, darks, and shadows. It was certainly a good image to practice this technique one. I colored Cinderella using copic markers. I added Tsukineko sparkle shimmer spritz on her skirt and diamond stickles on the bodice of her dress. I wanted her skirt to have a little shine but not as much as her bodice. To get this spray on just her skirt I stamped the image on scrap paper and then cut out only the skirt with a craft knife. Then I masked the rest of this image with this scrap image so when I sprayed the glitter it adhered it to the skirt. The shoe, which is part of this set, has diamond stickles on it as well. The sentiment is included in this Kraftin' Kimmie set.
The flowers were cut using my SCAL program. I chose a flower from the custom shapes tool in PhotoShop and then moved it around in my SCAL program until it looked the way I wanted. Then I sized the flowers so they could be layered. Each layer of the flower also has shading on the edges to give the flowers a little added dimension. Pearls embellish the center of each flower. Since Cinderella is obviously going to the ball I used blue glitter background paper for some bling.
