Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge

Good evening and Happy New Year!  The countdown has begun and 2012 is only hours away.  I am sure I will be sound asleep by the time the clock reaches 12:00 but I often wake up just in time to see the ball drop in Times Square!  I'm not sure that will happen this year, but we shall see!

Today I am posting a card for the challenge over at Mo's Digital Pencil.  This week you didn't have to make a new project but instead post your favorite card using a Mo's Digital Pencil image from 2011.  I've been thinking about this one because I have several that are my favorite, but I think in the end my absolute favorite for this year is Bella Loves Christmas.

Here's a close up of my colored Mo image.

Saturated Canary Challenge

Hello everyone, I can't believe that 2012 is just a few days away!  It seems like 2011 just arrived and I blinked and a new year is knocking on our doors.  I really wish I could slow time down, mostly so I can keep my kids little forever!

Today I am happy to be posting a card for the Saturated Canary challenge!  I simply love Krista's work and playing along with her challenges.  There are only a handful that I like to enter when I have the time and this is one of them!  This time around they wanted you to make a winter/Christmas project.  Well, I am done with Christmas until next year but love my winter projects, so my card is winter themed.  I used the Saturated Canary image, Maddie for this one.

The colors I used on the card kind of took on a life of their own after I started with my deep red color.  I really didn't intend it to be the colors it came out to be, but I really like the look if it now that it is complete!

I am so excited, today I am posting a project to enter into the current challenge over at the CMC challenge group.  I haven't had the time to create a project for this challenge since the summer.  It's amazing what a little extra time can do for you.

The challenge is to use the colors gold, cream and white.  If you head on over to the CMC site you'll also see some beautiful photos to use for inspiration as well.  I decided to use my Magnolia, Lady Tilda stamp for my project.  You can find her by clicking HERE at the 7 Kids College Fund store.  She is one of my Magnolia favorites.

Meljen's Thursday - Use Blue

Good morning everyone!  Can you believe it is the last Thursday of the year!?  Where has the time gone?  The year just flew by and now we are counting down the moments until 2012 arrives.  This year has been a whirlwind of activity for us and we are hoping for a slower pace this upcoming year.  With 2 kids, I'm not sure if it will happen, but I would sure like to try!

Today starts a new challenge over at Meljen's Designs, but not a new release.  Like many of us Melissa is taking a little break during this holiday season to enjoy time with her family.  Knowing Melissa she is cooking up some great goodies for the new year!

Sooo, since we don't have any new images to show we were able to choose one of Melissa's older images.  I chose the image, Yeti Cocoa.  This little guy is so cute and I'm ready for a little bit of snow, so I decided to make a snow card.  It has been pretty warm here in the northeast so I have to get my snow from someplace else.  Plus, our challenge for this week is to use the color blue.

Materials Used:
Copic Markers - B28, B26, B24, B21, E37, E35, E33, E31, E13, E11, E01, E000
Pearls
MS large and small snowflake punches
MS Snowflake border
Spellbinders dies
Big Shot (LOVE it!)
Glossy Effects
Crystal Stickles

I hope you can take some time to head on over to the challenge blog, you'll be glad that you did!

7 Kids College Fund - New Years Hopes and Dreams

Good morning everyone on this Wednesday before Christmas.  We are deep in preparations for the holidays here and are hoping to finish it all soon!  I always get these grand ideas in my head about making as many gifts as possible, but often forget that being a full time working mother kind of puts a damper on the time I have for this to happen!  Thank goodness for my husband who holds down the fort while I finish up my projects and Christmas ideas!

This week at 7 Kids College Fund our challenge is New Years Hopes and Dreams.  The challenge is to make a project portraying a hope or a resolution you may have for the New Year.  Well, my "hope" for the New Year is to stop pushing myself to accomplish so much and to take some time to relax and enjoy my life.  I want to enjoy my children, my husband and the world around me!  Every day doesn't have to be scheduled with something I need to accomplish!

So, I thought the perfect image for this one was a Tilda image.  For this project I used Happy Tilda.

Materials Used:
Copic markers - R39, R37, R35, R32, W3, W1, W0
MS large border punch
Flowers
Bella's baubles
Spellbinder's dies
My Mind's Eye DP

Here's a close up of this "Happy" Tilda.

So, take some time out of this busy week and stop by our challenge blog.  We love to see what you create!

Phindy's Place Friday - Use Your Scraps

Good morning everyone and Happy Friday!  I'm so glad you could get away from your holiday preparations for a moment to take a look at my blog.  Time is slowly ticking away and before you know it Christmas will be here.  Let me tell you my favorite moment of this week.  I was doing some last minute shopping at JoAnn's, taking advantage of their holiday sale when I got to the last of the Christmas aisle.  I turned to go to the next aisle and then chuckled at what I saw.  Can you guess?  It was Valentine decorations. My first thought was really, Valentines Day!?  I mean, we are all stressing about Christmas and New Year's, Valentines is the last thing on my mind!  LOL!

As for this week's challenge at Phindy's Place we are looking for you to use your scrap paper.  Come on, we know you have it, we all do!  I have so much it is actually organized in binders, by color!  So, here is the chance to use yours.  No DP paper larger than 3x3 inches square.

On my project I used the Phindy's Place image, Unwrapped.

Materials Used:
Copic Markers - R27, R24, R22, R21, C9, C7, C5, C3, C1, G28, G17, G05, G02
Glittered embellishments
scrap paper
Spellbinders dies
SU Real Red Stamp pad

Here's a close up of my colored image.

I can't wait to see what you think up for this one!  Enjoy the challenge and the rest of your holiday season!

Tiddly Inks Tuesday - White Christmas

Good morning everyone!  How is your sanity holding up this holiday season?  We have most of our shopping done, but still have gifts that need to be wrapped and sent out to family members who live in other parts of the country.  That is my job over the next few days.  I wrap and hubby ships!

I also want to say, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY HUBBY!  December is our month for birthdays.  My husband, step-son and son all have birthdays this month.  We will certainly be celebrating the month away.

Over at Tiddly Inks this week the challenge is White Christmas.  Winter has just arrived in our neck of the woods but we do have a little of the white, fluffy stuff on the ground.  I do so love a white Christmas!  For my project I used the Tiddly Inks image, Frosty.  Unfortunately this is a retired image but if you'd like to find other great snowman images from Christy you can click HERE to get to the Tiddly Inks store.

Materials Used:
Copic Markers - B28, B26, B24, B21, C3, C1
MS Around the page snowflake border punch
Flowers
MS Frond Punch
MS Large and small snowflake punches
Crystal Stickles

Phindy's Place Friday - CAS

Good morning and HOORAY, it's Friday!  The day we all love because our work week is almost over!  Yeah, a few days to catch my breath, get some more Christmas preparation finished and even spend time with my family!  This month always flies by so fast I feel like I blinked and missed it.  Well, not this year, I am determined to open my eyes a few times before the new year arrives!

Today over at Phindy's Place our challenge is a Clean and Simple card!  What a nice break from all of our embellishments, even though we love them, and back to a little simpleness.  There is something to be said for simple beauty, I know that it has always been my favorite!

For my project I used the Phindy's Place image, Tasty Flakes.  She has always been one of Phindy favorites!

Good morning everyone!  How are you all doing on this Thursday in December?  I am in the middle of Christmas overload and I hope to calm myself down from it soon!  Don't get me wrong, I am not sick of Christmas, I LOVE Christmas, it's all the stress that comes along with it that often gets me down.  I am working on finding my inner strength and maybe a few moments of inner (and outer) peace as well!

As for Melissa's new releases over at Meljen's Designs they are simply fabulous, as usual!  She is such a great digi artist, I love everything she creates!  Here are her new release image for this week!

7 Kids College Fund - Christmas Decoration

Good morning and welcome back to my blog today!  Over at 7 Kids College Fund we are starting a new 2 week challenge.  The challenge this time around is to make a Christmas Decoration, no cards for this one!  I had a lot of fun with this project, but my pictures aren't the greatest.  Lack of time and poor lighting were a bad combination.

As for my project I made an ornament with a matching ornament box.  I used the Magnolia image, Tilda with Snow Heart.  My Tilda is part of the new Christmas release from Magnolia this season. These new images have been so wildly popular Tab has had a difficult time keeping them in the store.  She's had to have 2 separate pre-orders just to give everyone what they wanted!

Materials Used:
Copic Markers - R27, R24, R22, R21, C9, C7, C5, C3, C1
Flowers
MS glitter
MS glass microbeads
MS Frond punch
Ribbon
Spellbinders dies

Here's another view of my project.  My ornament ties to the top of the box so that it hangs nicely in the box and front opening.

Well, I know that this is just a crazy time of year but I hope you can take some time to stop by our challenge blog, check out the other fabulous DT projects and maybe just take a little time to enter our challenge.

For my project I used the Tiddly Inks image, Bon Bon Addy.

Materials Used:
Copic Markers - R39, R37, R35, R32, R22, R21, R10, R000

CC Designs - Baby Jesus and Angel

Good  morning everyone and Happy Saturday!  How is your December going thus far?  We are well underway with our holiday preparations and shopping hoping to not have stress out at the last minute about anything!  AND, to go along with the holidays I am posting a card using the CC Designs image, Baby Jesus and Angel.  Which you can find HERE, at 7 Kids College Fund.

I made this one Clean and Simple for two reasons.  One, this is an absolutely adorable image and I just don't think much embellishment is required.  And two, I would like to reproduce several of these to send out and if I embellish too much that just isn't going to happen.

Materials Used:
Copic Markers - YR24, YR21, Y23, Y11, E25, E35, E53, E50, E11, E01, E000, E0000, E43, E42, E41, E410

Phindy's Place Friday - Anything Goes

Good morning and TGIF!  This week started out less crazy than last week and then turned right around and has been more than a little insane!  I just LOVE Christmas time but the hustle and bustle and craziness that goes along with it I could do without.  Thank goodness for my crafts which takes me right out of this craziness.  Which brings me to my project for today.  It is the first Friday of the month which means Anything Goes at Phindy's Place.  Don't forget though that you must use a Phindy's Place image to enter this week's challenge.

For my project I used the Phindy's Place image, Jingle Bear.  This image reminds me of the movie, The Golden Compass and the friendship that develops between the main character and the bear.

Materials Used:
Copic Markers - C3, C1, R39, R37, R35, R32
MS large and small snowflake punch

Today at Phindy's Place we are starting our new challenge, A Sprinkling of Snow.  Snow themes are one of my most favorite cards to make, I just love this time of year!  For my project I used the Phindy's Place image, First Snow.  This little guy is such a cutie.  The minute I saw this digi I just HAD to have it!

I've seen this shape card several times and I just love the way it looks.  Plus, I always love to try out a new shape and style.  I think this little guy was just made for this type of card!

Now, the challenge for this week is to use twine or string in your project.  Unfortunately, I neglected to add twine or string to my project.  So, I hope you can find some inspiration in my project BUT don't forget to add that twine or string!
