7 Kids College Fund - Seeing Spots

Hello, Happy Wednesday and Happy hump day!  This has been our craziest week yet in the Peduzzi household and let me tell you even though it is only Wednesday I feel like I've been through the entire week already.  I am sooo ready for spring, which our friendly neighborhood weatherman has told us isn't coming anytime soon.  So, for now, I am going to have to cheer myself up with my craft projects and room.  Works for me, it is my place to unwind whenever I can!  


Today I used my crafty time for 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog.  This time around the challenge is "Seeing Spots".  Make a card using polka dots.  I used the stamp, Tilda with Big Ribbon, for my card and added my polka dots to her dress.

Kraftin ' Kimmie, 7 Kids College Fund and Blog Candy!

Fred She Said Blog Hop!

 I made the design of the card have the tulips facing each other and then when you open the one side you have the image of one of the trumpets and a sentiment.  The other trumpet image is on the opened side of the card.  Then when the card is opened completely it is blank on the inside for a personal message for the recipient.

Daddy's Girl

A Meljen's Creation!

Happy to Sunday to all of you!  It's March 20 and spring is here, woohoo!  I am trying to catch up on some energy after the long work week and celebrating my daughter's 14th birthday yesterday!  It's so hard to believe that she is 14 and even worse, GULP, that she will be entering high school next year!  Let me tell you, I am NOT old enough to have a high schooler.


I guess you could say that is why I am so nostalgic about yesteryears and my baby girl.  Who, by the way, will always be MY baby, no matter how old she gets!  So, in keeping with this theme I have chosen one of Melissa's new release images for this week to make a card!  I will tell you that these images are so super cute, and I know, I say that every week!  But they are, Melissa's images are some of the greatest, and this little cutie just tugs at my heart!

FSS - Emma With Her Frills On

Hello on this Beautiful Wednesday!  Today started out as a raining Wednesday and ended up sunny and beautiful, at least what you can consider beautiful in upstate New York in the month of March!  What a great day for a GREAT mood and a happy springtime card!  Normally I would say that Easter is just around the corner but this year Easter is super late!  I decided to make and Easter card anyway and used soft springtime colors.  A wonderful mood lifter for the middle of March!

This Emma, called Emma with her Frills on, is wearing the perfect Easter dress and bonnet.  I miss the days when I could dress my daughter up in her pretty floral and dress and white bonnet for Easter.  With her fourteenth birthday only 3 days away, I don't think she is going to be wearing anything like that anytime soon!  She'll dress up but, trust me, that is more for her Nana's benefit than for mine!

7 Kids College Fund

HELLO, Happy Wednesday to you all!  It is new challenge day for 7 Kids College Fund and we are onto challenge #17.This time we are going to use the color pink and flowers on your project.  These two requirements go so well together, how can you go wrong?! Here's what I put together for this challenge.

My image is one I just ordered from 7 Kids and is  Stampavie image by Tina Wenke.  The image is called Tutu Cute and I think it is the perfect name for this little cutie!  If you're interested in checking this image, and other cute Stampavie images out, just click HERE to get to the 7 Kids College Fund store and Stampavie page.

Here's a close up of that sweet cutie!

I colored her using my copic markers and used mostly colors in the RV family.  I added diamond stickles to her tutu and dress bodice and Glossy Effects to her rain boots.  The flowers are Primas and also from 7 Kids College Fund.  The rhinestone border is Reflections.

Tiddly Inks Tuesday

Hello and happy Tuesday to you all!  I'm glad you've dropped by on the day of a new challenge at Tiddly Inks.  This week the challenge is to make a card or project using the color green.  Makes you think St. Patty's Day, right!  Well, Christy has plenty of freebies and wonderful images for you to choose from and play along.  Just click HERE to get to her store and check out all of her wonderful images.


For my card I chose her image Fairy Fae Dreams!  My dream at the moment is for sun and warm weather.  Hopefully I don't have to much longer to get some of that!

I colored my image using copic markers and used diamond stickles on her wings and hair flowers.  I used Glossy Effects on her eyes and shoes.  I colored my two smaller flowers with my air brush using two of the green copic markers that I used to color her dress.  The hat pins I made using beads and earring findings.  The quote is one I had heard before, found and recreated in Photo Shop.

Birthday Tilda

I am here for my second post today, trying to catch up on all the craziness from this past week!  I have to tell you that I feel spring in the air today, even with the miserable clouds overhead, and it has lightened my mood.  Also, tonight we spring our clocks ahead and although we will lose an hour of sleep, we will gain an hour of daylight and I am SO HAPPY about that!


Now onto my card!  Birthday Tilda is from the Magnolia You are So Special collection.  This Tilda is just adorable, as all Tilda's are, and you can find here HERE at the 7 Kids College Fund store.  Once I colored her the card just fell together and she was the perfect enhancement.

I colored my image using copic markers and used the colors RV34, RV32, RV00, RV0000.  Her socks were RV10, RV00, RV000 and RV0000 and her shoes were E79, E77, E71 and E70.  I added Glossy Effects to her shoes and the flames of the candles.  Crystal Stickles was added to the top of her dress bodice and her dress waist.  The Happy Birthday border is a Martha Stewart large border punch.  The candles are ones that I designed using Inkscape and my SCAL program.  I did clean up the edges in PhotoShop as well.  I am still working on how to use these programs to help me out in my crafting designs.  If you'd like a copy of the file for the birthday candle just scroll below to download it.  Also, a copy of this candle will be added to the template section of my blog.

Gothic Pin Ups!

So, if you're coming back today to see what new images Christy has in store you won't be disappointed!  Her new Gothic Pin Up line is just so wonderful  I hope you click HERE to rush right over and see what it is all about!


Here is a quick sampling of the images she's been working on and added to the store.

See, just super wonderful, aren't they!?  For my first project using these images I colored "Tainted" for my card and made it for my daughter's birthday!  At almost fourteen this is just the kind of image she would love!  Especially since my avid reader's current favorite genre involves girls who look a little like this!  Since this card is for her I decided to add her favorite term to the bottom instead of the traditional happy birthday!  

I colored my image using copic markers and I was very excited because I was finally able to use one of my fluorescent colors.  I knew having a teenager would allow me to use these colors and this chick just screamed bright.  Of course, I did use pink and not green or blue so when the card is opened I may get a little flack for that!LOL!  Now, if you have a teenage girl you know that the term "Whatever" is the most important word in her vocabulary, at least if your girl is like mine it is!  Looking at the posture of this girl made me think of the posture my daughter holds when she so politely "throws" that word at me!  I enhanced and highlighted the sentiment in Photoshop and you can grab it from below, or from my templates page, if you would like to use it for your teenage beauty!  All kidding aside I do think my daughter is a beauty and hope she sees the fun I saw when making this card!

The jewels down the side are self-adhesive Reflections jewels that I got at Michael's.  The star that she is standing in front of was cut out using my Cricut Expression and the glitter on the star is silver stickles.

Inky Friday

Friday's are inspiration days over a Tiddly Inks and I have a project that I hope inspires you!  I used Christy's image, Inking of You.  This is such a fabulous image for a fabulous Friday!  

My project is a box that I "re-purposed" to make into a mini card making kit!  I colored my image with copic markers and shaded the background with my Bashful Blue Stampin' Up stamp pad.  I added Glossy Effects to her boots and the ink.  The flower was made using different size petals and a little shading on each opposing flower.  I used my Night of Navy Stampin' Up stamp pad to do this.  The sides of the box also have a smaller version of this flower.

Meljen's New Release Thursday

Hi and happy Thursday!  We are over the half way point for the week and the weekend is just around the corner, Woohoo!  I don't know about you but I save as much time on my weekends to craft, whenever possible!  These weekdays just always seem to get away form me!


So, now that we're here at Thursday it is of course our new release day for Meljen's Designs.  Well, as you know this is one of my favorite days of the week!  As usual, Melissa does not disappoint with her new release images. Wait to see what she's thought up for us now!

With St. Patrick's Day right around the corner these images have come just in time!  They are just perfect to create something for this "green" holiday.  And, speaking of green the challenge at the Meljen's Designs challenge blog is to use the color green in your card.  Perfect, right!?

For my card I used the new release image, "Dancing Leprechaun".  This little guy is so sweet and perfect for any card!

I colored this image using my copic markers and used the colors G27, G19, G14, G12 and G99, G94, G21 and G20.  I added diamond stickles to the stripe on his hat and his tie.  His shoes have Glossy Effects added to them.  The background swirls have gold stickles added to them.  I have to say, I LOVE my stickles! LOL!  I drew the shamrock border around the Leprechaun and the shamrocks in each corner were cut using my SCAL program and my Cricut Expression.

Fred She Said - Angel Patience

Hello and welcome to my second post for today.  I was able to get a few cards done this weekend, which is good because I am having trouble producing anything I like today, even with the extra day off!  So, I'm going to post a card I made using the Fred She Said image, Angel Patience. I sure need patience since my craft room and I are just not getting along and I don't like that!

I colored Patience using my copic markers and added crystal stickles to her wings.  The sentiment is from a Stampin' Up set I have had for awhile called, "If the Halo Fits."  The rhinestones are Reflections self-adhesive.

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge

Hi all on this strange Monday!  We have had snow, ice and rain here and ended up with a snow day!  Plus, no power so I am very grateful for our generator!  No power in the winter is just dreadful!  


Today I am entering a card I made into the challenge at Mo's Digital Pencil.  I love these images but don't often get the chance to use them.  Well, last week was my nephew's first birthday and I used the image "1st Birthday Boy" to make his card.  Even better is that this week the challenge is to use a baby image, so I thought I'd enter.


Here's the card I made.  It is a shaker card, my second one, but I tend to get a little carried away with the shaker items!  I think I will need to work on that! LOL!

I colored my image using copic markers and added Glossy Effects to the balloons.  For the shaker part of the card I cut out balloons using a Fiskars punch and used Martha Stewart's luster glass microbeads.  I also used the cut-out balloons to make the background paper for behind my acetate.  I used mounting tape to pop out my image.

Meljen's Designs

Hello and I hope you're having a great Saturday!  I usually try to post my Meljen's cards when she has her new releases on Thursday, but let me tell you this has been one crazy week!  In fact, I can't believe I managed to survive all the running we did.  Besides work the kids had several appointments PLUS my daughter's normal activities.  It made for one long and stressful week that I am glad is over.  So now that I am sitting in one place I would love to show you the new release digi's from Meljen's Designs and the birthday card I made using them!

I have to tell you that as always I simply LOVE all of these images but my absolute favorite is the cuddle bug, which is the image I used for my card below!  I just think that little lady bug all snuggled up and cozy is absolutely adorable and I enjoyed coloring her!

I colored my image using copic markers and shaded the background using my Barely Banana Stampin Up Stamp pad.  I also added some crystal stickles to the heart and the swirls surrounding the lady bug.  My sentiment is from Stampin Up's Birthday Whimsy set.  I added a few blues self adhesive rhinestones to the middle border and the sentiment.

Well, it's been awhile but I have finally been able to complete a card for the Phindy's Place challenge this week.  I just LOVE Phindy's images and enjoy participating in her challenges.  But, life has been so crazy and busy that this post is going to be short.

The image I used is called "Bug Buddy" and I colored him using my copic markers.  This week's challenge was a sketch challenge so I followed this beautiful sketch that was provided.  I am very critical of myself when it comes to male cards but I think this one came out nicely.  I did use a Martha Stewart punch for the middle border and a few self-adhesive rhinestones over the sentiment.  I just couldn't resist adding them!

7 Kids College Fund - Mardi Gras!

Well, this week at the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog we are celebrating Mardi Gras!  This time we want you to use Mardi Gras colors on your card, purple, green and gold.  Mardi Gras is such a fun and festive time, full of life and energy, what a great inspiration for a card!

For my card I used the Kraftin' Kimmie stamp, Lisette.  I colored her using my copic markers and added glossy effects to her eyes and the frosting on the slice of cake. The cake on the bottom of the card is also from this Kraftin Kimmie set.  The frosting and cherries have glossy effects on them as well.  The embellishments are I-Rock jewels and I thought they would be perfect for this card.  They make me think of all those great necklaces they give out at Mardi Gras time.

Tiddly Inks New Challenge Tuesday

Hi and welcome to a new challenge at the Tiddly Inks challenge blog.  The challenge this week is RAINBOW, use as many colors as possible on your card.  Now, if you're like me you often use just a few colors when making your projects.  It was fun trying to come up with a card/project that used many different colors.  For my project I used the Tiddly Inks image, "Colorful World".  The name for this image speaks for itself and was just perfect for my card!

Well, when trying to make a card using many colors what could be better than a paint pallet?  And, my image fits with this card so nicely (ok, I know I said this already, but it's just so true!)!  I colored her with copic markers and added Glossy effects to the paint on the tip of her brush.  I also added crystal stickles to a few of the stripes on her shirt.  The card and paint was cutting out using my Cricut Expression and my SCAL program.  I wanted to make my paint splotches pop just a little so I shaded each of the edges with the appropriate color stamp pad.  The sentiment is from a Tim Holtz stamp set.
