Today I want to show you some of Christy's new images.  I just couldn't pick one because they all were simply too wonderful, so I chose three that I thought would go well together.  The three new images that I used for my project today are Loved, Rainbow Dreamer and Imagination.  Christy created about 20 new images for our big birthday celebration.  You can find the rest by clicking HERE, you'll be glad that you did!

I made a tri-fold card with the folds going in opposite directions.  I really wanted my images to stand out alone and with each other as a full card!  They really are just wonderful!

Materials Used:
Copic Markers - I have used so many markers I couldn't possibly list them all!  If you are interested in a specific color combination, please let me know.
Prima Flowers
Self-Adhesive Pearls
Stickles, diamond, crystal and ice

Here are some close-ups of those new images!

As a special thank you for stopping by I am offering a special prize for the hop!  You may have seen it as part of the entire prize package when you started the hop at the beginning.  Next to the photo of my prize package is the secret letter you are looking for to complete the message,  my letter is N.  Make sure once you have completed the entire message you e-mail it to ccart87@gmail.com.  Then you'll be entered to win the prize below along with several other prizes that you can find at the Tiddly Inks blog!

Don't forget that Tiddly Inks will be having a sale from May 1 - May 3 as part of our big birthday celebration.  Click HERE to visit the shop and see all the images Christy has available.

Spring/Easter Projects

Hi, it's Wednesday evening and those of us here in the northeast are finally enjoying some warm weather.  It has jumped right from winter to summer and we have had a couple of 80 degree days.  Of course, we also have had the loud, bright thunderstorms following up this warmth, but as my daughter said, after all of our cold this year, how can you complain!

So, keeping in the spirit of this warm weather I am going to post a couple of cards I made for my family for Easter.  The first card has an image from Fred She Said called, "Chicky with Bottom Flowers".  The second is a Spring Girl that I drew myself.  I am adding to today's post as a freebie, if you like.  Of course she will always be available in the templates section of my blog.

Meljen's New Release Thursday

Good morning and hope you're having a great Thursday!  If you're here for the bog candy, please scroll down and you have until noon today eastern time to enter.  If you're here for Meljen's new image release and challenge then you are in the right place!  This week Melissa is releasing some pretty fabulous male images and is following it up with a challenge of making a masculine card!

Here's her new images.

Remember, you don't have to use one of these new images to enter the challenge.  Melissa has plenty of freebies for you to use that you can access by clicking HERE.  Of course, if you would like one of these new cuties you can purchase them HERE at Whimsy stamps.

Now, I have to admit that masculine cards are very hard for me.  I never know how much to embellish or not embellish.  I chose the Police Bear image for my card because my brother is a police officer.  Actually, I have several relatives who are police officers and I could use the card for any one of them!

Materilas Used:
Copic Markers: B39, B37, B34, B32, E35, E33, E31, E30, YR 24, Y17, Y15, Y11
Stampin Up Birthday Whimsy "Happy Birthday" sentiment
ZVA self-adhesive jewels
Cricut Expression

Here's a close up of that cute Police Bear.

Don't forget to check out Meljen's Designs Challenge Blog and this week's challenge.  Hope you can take the time to enter.  You don't have to use a Meljen's image to enter but will need to if you would like to be in the top 5 for this week.
So glad you decided to stop by today,
Marlena

So, without any more delay here is what I am offering to the winner of my blog candy.  I have created another card set similar to one I made recently.  This time I made a cover attached to my box and used an image drawn by me.  I attempted to draw a rose from my garden last year!  Also being offered as part of this blog candy package is a silver bottle of stickles, a pink bottle of Martha Stewart glitter and various embellishments.

Here is the package!

So, what do you have to do to win?  SIMPLE, just comment on this post and answer the question.  The question is simply to tell what your favorite flower is, easy right!  I'm keeping the blog candy open until 12:00 noon Eastern time on Thursday, April 21.  The winner will be posted early Friday morning.

Here is a black and white copy of the rose I drew to make this project.

7 Kids College Fund Challenge

Hi all and Happy Wednesday!  I hope the week has been treating you well and hopefully you have been enjoying some of this warm weather like we have.  Both kids have spent a lot of time outside soaking up all of the fresh air.  What a nice time of year!

Today starts a new challenge at the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog.  For the next two weeks you can make a project with a spring or Easter theme.  Just so perfect for this time of year!  Plus, 7 Kids College Fund carries so many beautiful images that you can use for just such a project.  Don't forget you have to use a image carried by 7 Kids College Fund in order to be eligible to win a prize.

For my project I used one of the new spring Magnolia images.  I used Tilda with her stuffed animal and you can see her here below.

Materials Used:
Copic Markers
Prima flowers
Reflections Self-Adhesive swirled crystals
Martha Stewart Flowered Border Punch
Stampin Up Apricot Appeal Stamp Pad

I made the template for the candy boxes and holders and then made a card to complete the set.  I thought this would be a nice spring Easter or birthday gift.  Here are the two candy boxes and the holder.  I used acetate for the boxes so you could see what was inside.

Here's a closer photo of just the card.  It is 5x5 square.  I wanted to make it a little smaller than I normally do since it was part of an entire set.

AND, here's a close up of the sweet Tilda.  The more I color these Magnolia's, the more I love them!

Now it's your turn!  Click HERE to get to the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog and enter one of your favorite 7 Kids carried stamp into this week's project.  You can find this Tilda by clicking HERE.
So glad you stopped by today,
Marlena

Tilda with Kitten Set

Good afternoon, I hope you are enjoying your Sunday!  We are having some beautiful spring weather here and it is such a welcome change from all that cold, snowy weather.  It has really inspired my creativity and I spent the weekend making sets of cards and 3D projects instead of individual cards!  It was a lot of fun!

Today's project is a set of cards I made using Tilda and the Kitten and a Magnolia Cat.  I LOVE coloring my Magnolia's.  They are so much fun and always come out just as cute as can be!  I can't ever get enough of them!

Materials Used:
Copic Markers: B95, B93, B91, YR24, YR21,, Y23, Y11, R21, C5, C3, C1, C00
Prima and Reflections flowers, flowers airbrushed with colors E35 and B95
Reflections self-adhesive pearls
Tea Dye Distress Ink Stamp Pad
Stampin Up Border Punch

I created the box using a very simple pattern.  The dimensions of the box bottom are 8 1/8 x 6 7/8 in, scored at 1 1/4 inches on each side.  The box top's dimensions are 8 1/4 x 7 in, scored at 1 in from each side.  All 4 corner sides are snipped to the score line and the adhered to the other sides.  This gives you your box.  The box fits card that are 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 inches.  I used my box images for my cards.  There are six cards in the set, three with Tilda and the Kitten and three with the Cat.

And here's a close up of one of the colored images.  Like I said earlier, Tilda is just so much fun to color!  She really is just an absolutely cute image!

Don't forget to drop by the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog to enter the challenge for this week.  You only have a few more days to enter.  Also, there are always new products and offers at the store, click HERE to find out what they are!

Other Crafty News:
Don't forget Tiddly Inks Refer a Friend challenge is up at the moment.  Click HERE to find out more and enter the challenge.

I am sorry to say that the exciting news I was going to offer this upcoming week has been put on hold.  It is disappointing but I look forward to all the creations I am going to be making to share with you as always!

I am soooo close to 100 followers.  That is the magical number for when I am offering up my next blog candy!  The faster I hit that number, the faster I can offer the candy!  I HOPE to be there soon!

So glad you decided to stop by today,
Marlena

A "ME" Creation!

IF you are here for the Meljen's Designs Blog Hop then scroll down to the next post to find it.

Hello and Happy Saturday!  I am loving this day because I don't have any place to be on anyone else's schedule.  OK, I do have to go grocery shopping and I might consider washing some laundry before Monday, but that's it. Around here, that's great!  I'm sure you all know what I mean because I am NOT the only human being in the world with a crazy life!

Today I am posting a card made 100% by me!  I drew the image, made it into a digital stamp, printed, colored and then put the card together.  Now, I don't hold a candle to all those amazing digital artists out there, but I had so much fun playing around with the pencil that I am going to keep practicing when I can!  Being creative is so much fun for me and I just get such a thrill from simply the act of using my creative side!

The card I made is a scene that I drew of the Hudson River.  It is from a photograph I found on the internet.  The boat is the Clearwater, which is a replica of a sloop which travels up and down the river.  Someone wanted a card made with a boat, and here is what I did.

Here's the image I drew.

And here's the card I made using it.

You are welcome to the image if you like and I am adding to the template page under freebies.  I have a long way to go but it was fun and I enjoyed it thoroughly!  I did color my image using copic markers, of course, and added Bella's baubles to the side.  It's not a highly embellished card but I do like the way it came out.

If you're one for freebies I have some other great places you can go to get them. My friend Tracy has some fabulous word art she is giving away on her blog right now.  Just click HERE to get there and find her freebies.

Two great companies that have wonderful freebies are Meljen's Designs and Tiddly Inks!  These are two wonderful companies, with two great artists and you wouldn't believe the freebies they have.  Just click on the names to get to their sites to see what they offer.

I'm so excited I was just able to send out my first blog candy prize!  Thanks to all of you that dropped by to participate and comment on my blog.  Now that I am only 10 away from 100 followers I am thinking of having another once I reach that next milestone.  I'm not sure what I am going to give away yet, so stay tuned, but I am so excited to keep reaching these goals and being able to share them with all of you!
So glad you stopped by today,
Marlena
