Phindy's Place Friday - A Sprinkling of Snow

Good morning everyone, Happy Black Friday!  I've already been to Michael's and back and am ready to have a day at home of chores and crafting.  I am not a big black Friday shopper but if I can get a deal on my craft supplies, I will!  I also have big plans of getting my Christmas decorations up this weekend!  


Today at Phindy's Place we are starting our new challenge, A Sprinkling of Snow.  Snow themes are one of my most favorite cards to make, I just love this time of year!  For my project I used the Phindy's Place image, First Snow.  This little guy is such a cutie.  The minute I saw this digi I just HAD to have it!

I've seen this shape card several times and I just love the way it looks.  Plus, I always love to try out a new shape and style.  I think this little guy was just made for this type of card!

Meljen's Designs New Release Thursday

Good morning everyone and HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all of us in the United States!  I hope you are able to celebrate this day of thanks with family, friends and those you love.  We are off to my grandparents and then to my in-laws and I am grateful to have so much family to celebrate with!

Now, the challenge for this week is to use twine or string in your project.  Unfortunately, I neglected to add twine or string to my project.  So, I hope you can find some inspiration in my project BUT don't forget to add that twine or string!

For my project I did combine several of the new release images.  I used Stocking Kitty, Stocking Puppy and Joy garland.  I thought they worked wonderfully together.

Tiddly Inks Tuesday - Anything Goes

Meljen's Designs - Moose Lights

Magnolia - Tilda with Cross stitch Heart

Good morning!  Today I am posting my latest project using one of the Magnolia images from the new Sweet Christmas Dreams Collection.  My card is a combination card with gift. I've seen something similar to this before so I wanted to try it for myself.  On the inside are candles in a nice gift box attached to the card.


The stamp I used with this card is Tilda with Cross Stitched Heart.  All of these new Christmas/Winter Magnolia images are just adorable!  You can find them HERE at 7 Kids College Fund.

Here's what the inside of the card looks like.  The box on the right side has 3 Yankee Candle tea lights inside.  The left side is blank for the giver to write a sentiment inside.

Phindy's Place Friday, Christmas Card

Well, here we are, we have actually made it to Friday.  Even better yet is that Friday's are when we start our challenges over at the Phindy's Place Challenge Blog.  This week we are looking for your Christmas projects.  I have certainly gotten in the Christmas spirit early this year and have been feverishly working away on Christmas projects.

DP2 - Fancy Folds

Hello out there in blog land.  I am back to post a project to enter into the Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge for this week!  I always consider it a good day whenever I can make two posts!  Yeah!  Even better is being able to enter a card into a challenge, especially a challenge at Mo's Digital Pencil.  Mo's images are on the long list of my most favorite images to work with.


My project for today uses the Mo's Digital pencil image, Bella Loves Christmas.  I purchased this one awhile back but haven't had the opportunity to use it until now.  For my "fancy fold"  I made a center step card.  This is becoming one of my most favorite cards to make.  

You know when you work on our projects and sometimes you look at them and say, Wow, what was I thinking?", or "I just LOVE the way this came out!"  Well, I just love this particular project!  The image is fabulous and the fold is eye popping and I am a glitter girl, so I just love how this card sparkles.  It is currently one of my favorites!

Tiddly Inks Tuesday

Good morning everyone!  Today is a beautiful Tuesday morning and a great day because it is Tiddly Tuesday!  Since it is still in the month of November we are still having our Anything Goes Challenge.  A new challenge is starting today but we are lucky enough to be able to use one of Christy's amazing images and allow our own creative juices to flow!  The last few weeks have had so many wonderful entries to our challenge I am really excited to see what this week's challenge will bring!

Phindy's Place Friday - Give Thanks

Good morning and thanks for stopping by on this Friday!  In the United States many of us have off today for Veteran's Day!  It's a day when we honor those men and women who choose to put their life on the line so the rest of us can stay safe!  My dad, grandfather and uncles are all veterans and so on this day they are honored with all those others who made this choice.

I don't know about you but one of my favorite things about this time of year are all the apple pies my own grandmother and mother make.  They make Dutch Apple Pies, the ones that have the crumbs on the top instead of just crust.  Mmmmm, mmm, mmm, they are just the best.  You just can't beat these pies!

Saturated Canary - Challenge #2

Happy Monday evening!  Congratulations, you made it through the first day of the work week!  Today I am posting a card for the Saturated Canary Challenge.  I have had this one colored for awhile but, you know how it goes when trying to get a project put together.  I've finally finished and here you go!


The stamp I used for my project is called Magic.  This is such a cutie, I just love her outfit!

The challenge at Saturated Canary this week is a 1, 2, 3 challenge, 1 image, 2 patterned papers and 3 embellishments.  Well I have my 1 image, I have my 2 patterned papers and I have my 3 embellishments, although I interpreted this part slightly differently.  For my 3 embellishments I used flowers as 1 embellishment, pearls as another embellishment and my frond punch around my flowers as my 3rd embellishment.

Meljen's - Harvest Snowman

Hello again!  Tonight I am posting a card I made using one of Meljen's Designs new release images for this week, Harvest snowman.  Snowmen images are among my favorite for winter so I enjoyed coloring this image. The card I made is a shaker card, I wanted it to look like snow, almost like a snow globe.
