7 Kids College Fund - Love is in the Air

Good morning again for the third morning in a row this week!  This is an all time record for me.  Hmmm, maybe I can get a post in every day this week!  Wouldn't that be so fabulous!  Oh, that would mean that I had a lot of crafting time this week.  How can a girl complain about that!

Well, since it is Wednesday it means that we are starting a new challenge at 7 Kids College Fund.  Our theme for this week is "Love is in the Air".  But, we also have a little twist to our project this week.  We want you to make a love or Valentine themed card, but in a 3x3 inch square size.  What a fun size card to make using such a fun theme.  Not sure what to do, hop on over to our challenge blog.  Our DT members came up with some really amazing projects for this week's theme.

For my project I used the Bildmalarna stamp, My Flower.  This stamp is from the Bildmalarna Little Winged Friends collection.  I have so many Magnolia and Kraftin' Kimmie stamps I am trying to branch out with my rubber stamp collection and this stamp was such a cutie.  I just had to have her.

My favorite part about making this card is that I was able to find envelopes to fit this size card at the 7 Kids College Fund store.  I love making my cards and 3D projects but when it comes to envelopes I just want to go and get ones that fit my card.

Materials Used:
Copic Markers - RV10, RV000, RV0000, colorless blender, E21, E000, E0000, E53, E51, E50
Ribbon
Pearls
MS large border punch
Crystal Stickles

This is the first time I have tried a water colored look with my copic markers, and I just love it!  The secret, using the colorless blender as the lightest shade when coloring.

Here's a closer look at my colored image.

Hope you can play along with our current challenge!
Thanks so much for stopping by today,
