Meljen's Designs - New Release images

Hello everyone!  How are you doing on this gorgeous Monday?  It's so amazing to me that today is February 6 and it was 52 degrees here in North East New York.  We have had no big snow storms and very little ice, really!  It's just crazy.  I never remember a winter like this one and I have lived in the North East my entire life.  I just don't how to deal with this strange weather!

Today I am posting a Clean and Simple card using one of the new release images from Meljen's Designs.  Melissa has changed her new releases to once a month and this months images are just too cute for words!  If you'd like to see all of her new images click HERE to find them.  These new images were just perfect for me to use for my son's Valentine's Day cards.  He is a car enthusiast, OK, actually, if it has wheels that spins he is in heaven!  Melissa had two monster trucks in her release and I used the Flaming Monster Truck for my project.  My card is CAS because he is 3 and I didn't think he and his friends needed to be finding and picking little embellishments off of their cards.  Wouldn't that be fun for his daycare teachers!

My card is a 3x3 inch card, which is the perfect size for Valentine's Day.  I also was able to find the perfect size envelopes for my cards at 7 Kids College Fund

The materials I used on my card are Circle and Scalloped Circle Spellbinder's dies, Big Shot and my copic markers.  The copic colors I used are C9, C7, C5, C3, C1, R27, R24, R22, R21, YR12, Y17, Y15, and Y11.  I added the little heart to the flag at the back of the truck since it is a card for Valentine's Day.

Here's a close up of my colored image.

My red ran over a little into my window, ugh!  I simply hate when this happens.  My son liked this card though, at least in his 3 year old way he seemed to, so that's all I need.

Keep your eyes out this week for an upcoming change at 7 Kids College Fund.  The store blog is going to be changing addresses and that change will be coming soon!  There will be a giveaway when the change happens so you won't want to miss it!
Thanks so much for stopping by today,

  1. it's adorable! when mine leaks over like that, I take a black liner and just increase the size of the line on the image - sometimes that helps..but I agree with you - he loves it..that's a winner!
