Phindy's Place Friday - Distressing

Good morning everyone!  Happy Friday to all of you!  We have had our first snowfall of the year and basically the first one of the winter.  The kids are all excited about finally having some snow to play in and snowmen are being built all around here.  We even were able to get out of school early and had a snow day, the first time all year!  I don't ever remember a year where we didn't use a least one snow day before now.  I guess there is a first time for everything.

Today I am posting the card I made for the new challenge over at Phindy's Place.  This week's challenge is distressing and for my project I used the Phindy's Place image, Time for Teddy.

Materials Used for this Project:
Copic Markers - B95, B93, B91, E13, E11, E01, E000, W3, W1
SU sentiment stamp
My Mind's Eye patterned paper
Spellbinder's circles and scalloped circle dies
Big Shot
Zutter Distressing tool
Tea Dye Distress Ink Pad

I colored my image in a distress style as well as distressing the rest of my card.  I learned this technique in class 3 of Suzanne Dean's Color me Creative online classes.

Here's a close up of my colored image.

What a fun challenge this week, yes?  I hope you stop by the challenge blog and join in!  Don't forget to check out all the other fabulous DT cards while you are there!
Thanks so much for stopping by,

  2. Love what you have done with this, elegant yet distressed!!!

  3. Your coloring always knocks my socks off, and this one is no exception. Brilliant coloring. The color palette here is very pretty also, goes well with the vintage feel. Another stunner Marlena!

I'm in NJ and we haven't used a single snow day yet! First time in as long as I can remember. A huge contrast to the harsh winter we had last year, too. Some really strange weather.

I LOVE to hear from you! Comments are welcomed and appreciated!
