Saturated Canary & My Voice

So, I have been posting to my blog for almost 2 years now and I have grown so much since I started sharing my projects and thoughts with you.  I have gone from entering challenges and just sharing my own personal creations to becoming a member of several design teams.  I never thought I would be capable of expressing myself in a such an open forum.  When we are talking outside the box we are talking WAY outside the box!  I have to say that I am happy about this.  I am a person who likes to grow and expand myself whenever possible.  BUT, something is still missing.  I can feel it every time I hit the publish button at the end of a post.  I've known for awhile what it is but I just haven't quite figured out how to overcome the last hurdle in my blog journey.

What's missing, my voice.  No, not my ACTUAL voice but that voice that every writer, or person really, has when they express themselves.  I'm such a reserved person and this definitely comes through when I write on blog.  I share a little, post my project and then move on.  To be honest, it's how I interact with others in general.  I don't want to be judged for my thoughts or actions and the World Wide Web is kind of a large forum to express yourself, you know.

You're probably wondering why I am droning on and on about all of this.  Well, it's time I start using my blog as a true expression of myself.  I mean really, it is my blog.  It's about me, my projects, my ideas and basically whatever I want it to be.  Now, I most likely won't be sharing too many family photos.  I am fiercely protective of my children and I am uncomfortable exposing them to such a large audience at the ages they are.  But, as for the rest of me, it's time to be exposed (metaphorically, of course).  It's time to let my true self shine through, I have worked really hard on my projects, on my blog and my creativity in general so I should allow myself to enjoy the end results, right!

Okay, now that I have gotten that off my chest it's time to share with you my project for today.  It's a card I made using the Saturated Canary image, Duck, Duck, Goose.  It's such an adorable spring image I used bright spring colors on it.  I am entering my project into the current challenge over at the Saturated Canary Challenge Blog, which is to use twine on your project.

Materials I Used on this Project:
Copic Markers - RV25, RV23, RV10, CB, Y08, Y04, Y00, E35, E34, E30
Spellbinder's Floral Flourish dies
Spellbinder's Nestabilities Circle and Scalloped Circle dies
Big Shot
Glossy Accents
Crystal Stickles

Here's a close up of this colored duo.

Well, if you took the time to read my ENTIRE post, thanks you so much for doing so.  I appreciate you taking the time out of your day to read my thoughts.
Wishing you all the best of days!
