7 Kids College Fund Wednesday - Schools Out for the Summer

Good morning everyone!  How are you doing out there in Blogland today?  I am off to work and the kids are off to school and daycare.  My daughter only has a few more days of school before finals and regents begin.  I am not looking forward to those, I don't know about her, as this is the first year for her to be taking these.  Keep your fingers crossed that she does well, I know she can!

Today at 7 Kids College Fund we are celebrating a theme that I am close to, Schools Out for the Summer.  If you have been visiting my blog recently you will have heard me drone on and on about this very topic.  Why, well it's time for vacation and a break before starting all over again in September.  Only two and a half more weeks to go and then a little recuperating before things begin again.  Like I've said before, don't get me wrong, I love my job, but it is easy to get burnt out as a teacher.  Summer is a great time to recharge so you can go into the classroom motivated and ready to meet a new class of students.  New ideas are constantly popping into my head over summer break, which is good because I have a little extra time to get new projects together.

But, as I was saying, at 7 Kids College Fund our theme this time around is School's Out for the Summer.  For my project I used the Magnolia image, Dance Party Tilda.  My background says "Celebrate", can you notice a common theme?

Materials I Used for My Project:
Prima Flowers
MS Frond Punch
IRock Rhinestone embellishments

Here's a close up of my colored image.

Now it's your turn, dig out your favorite "out of school" images, pout your project together and play along!  We just love it when you do!  AND, if you need a little inspiration just stop by the challenge blog to see what the other 7 Kids College Fund DT members have created, you'll be glad that you did!
So glad you stopped by today,

  1. Yay for summer! I love your coloring & how your card looks like a little window. Gorgeous layering of flowers.
