Mo's digital Pencil - Straight From the Heart

Hello everyone!  I hope you are enjoying this fabulous Monday!  My youngest and I were out running errands this morning and now he is finishing up watching Caillou before he takes his afternoon nap.  Of course, he took a very small catnap on the way home so this usually means disaster for his afternoon nap.  How a ten minute nap can replace a 2 hour nap, I'll never know, but often after these cat naps we just can't get him to take another, no matter what.  I'm hoping for an easier time than that today as his catnap was a few hours ago, but we shall see.  The ways of the toddler world will never cease to amaze me!

Today I am posting a card that I made to enter into this week's challenge at Mo's Digital Pencil challenge blog.  This week the challenge is Straight From the Heart.  I used the Mo's image Kansas for my project today.  Of course all I could think about is Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, which was one of my favorite movies as a child, so I colored up my image to look just like her.  And since we know she is Dorothy the dog in the basket must be Toto, so I colored him as my mind remembered Toto as well!  Remember before DVD's and VHS tapes how you would wait every year for the Wizard of Oz to come on television just so you could watch it again.  I used to love those times and would be right in front of the television watching Dorothy, the Tinman, The Scarecrow and the Cowardly Lion dance across the screen.  How exciting and fun that used to be!

I also used the sketch from the Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge blog for my card this week.  I will be entering my card in this challenge as well.  Below is the sketch to play along with this week.

And here is my card using the sketch and Mo's image.
