Saturated Canary - Butterfly Princess

Good morning everyone, Happy Friday!  We are in for another scorcher here, at least what we would call a scorcher in this neck of the country, so of course we are living inside in the air conditioning!  What a crazy summer!  We haven't been in the pool so much the last few days because we have been busy with so many other things!  Hopefully I can get my little one out there today, the poor guy has been asking to go.  My daughter can finally go in the pool as well after a week of having to keep her back dry.  She is being tested for skin allergies and her first plan after seeing the doctor today is to jump in the shower!

Today I am posting a card using an image from Saturated Canary, Butterfly Princess.  I'm entering my card into the current challenge at Saturated Canary, which is Bling it On!  Since glitter and sparkles are just my favorite, I knew I had to enter this one!  Well, let's face it, I would have anyway just to get a chance to make a project using one of Krista's great images!!!!!!

I'm also entering my card into the challenge over at the Sweet Stop Challenge blog.  Even though I made an easel card for this one I followed the sketch for their challenge this week!  Here's the sketch they have for you to use this time around.

If you scroll down to the end of this post you will find a link to a easel card tutorial.  Saturated Canary is having a call for DT members for her new channel. How cool is that!  I was so bummed that I couldn't try out for the last guest designer call because of it being the end of the school year and having more things to do than possible.  So of course I just HAD to try out for this one!  Thanks to my hubby for helping me out with my video even though he just didn't have the time!  I am so grateful to him for helping me and my crafty aspirations even though he has a million things of his own to do!

I guess it's about time I show you the card that all my jabbering on is about, so here you go!

Materials Used for My Project:
Copic Markers
Wild Orchid Flowers
MS Frond Punch
Glossy Accents
Crystal Stickles
EK Success layered butterfly Punch
MS Butterfly Punch

Here's a close up of my colored image.  I really wanted her to be blinged out, hair and all, so I added a little color and glitter to her hair, to match her dress of course!

Before I go, here's the link o the video tutorial on making an easel card.

So glad you stopped by today!
