Tiddly Inks Tuesday, Red, White and Blue

Good morning my crafting friends and Happy Tuesday!  We have no official plans for the day so I am going to catch up on some things around the house, which of course includes spending time in my craft room.  I hope to go outside with the kids, well at least my little one, it's very hard to get my teenage daughter out of the house.  I think she might be allergic to fresh air and beautiful sunlight!  If you are a parent of a teenager I KNOW that you understand what I am talking about.  Now my 3 year old, he is happy to go outside and soak up the sun.  He'll be the first to race to the door and will bound out before you're ready if you aren't careful!  Thankfully we live in the country so there is plenty of space for him to run around, to play and to just be himself!

Today at Tiddly Inks we have the perfect challenge starting for our upcoming Independence day holiday in the United States.  When we celebrate independence day here in the U.S. our flag colors red, white and blue are a sure sign that the fourth of July is just around the corner.  AND, that's our challenge this time around, use the colors RED, WHITE, and BLUE.  The nice thing about this challenge is that even if you aren't here in the U.S. this is a great color combination to make something simply spectacular.  I know you can do it, I've seen your creations and they are just awesome!

For my project today I am using one of Christy's newer images, Wryn the Patriot.  She reminds me of a little girl standing waving her flag as a parade is going by.  She is just such a cutie, as all the Wryn images are!

I really wanted to make a different style for this card so I decided to make a star shaped card and then I got even more daring and made it into an easel card.  I put some pearls on the base of my card to help the star stand up but the corners of the star actually stand up on their own if they are placed just right.

Here's a look at the front of the card only.  I wanted the flourishes to look like fireworks, specifically sparklers, coming out the side of the card.

Materials I Used on My Project:
Copic Markers - R27, R24, R22, R20, B28, B26, B24, B21, C9, C7, C5, C3, E11, E01, E000, E0000
Black Cat Cougar Cutter
Spellbinder's dies
Magnolia Doohickey die
Wild Orchid Flowers
Pearls
Glossy Accents
Stickles

Here's a close of my Patriotic girl.

Now it's your turn, create those red, white and blue inspired projects and then link them up to our challenge. I can't wait to see what you create, I know it will be spectacular, BUT, if you are looking for just a little more inspiration the other Tiddly Inkers have some fabulous projects for you to check out!

I'm entering my card in the following challenges:

So glad you stopped by today,
