Tiddly Inks Tuesday - Favorite Tiddly Inks image

Good morning everyone!  Can you believe that we are starting the last day of July?  As I get older the months just seem to get quicker and quicker and, is it me, or does time seem to get lost somewhere along the way as well?  Hmmm, this is something to ponder as I already have a difficult finding enough time to accomplish half the things I want to in a day.  If time just seems to slip on by as you get older I'll never get anything done!

Today at Tiddly Inks we are starting a new challenge.  This time around we want you to pick your favorite Tiddly Inks image and create a project using it.  I know, it's hard to pick one favorite, but I think it can be done.  For my card I used the Wryn image, Hanging Around.  My nieces birthday is coming up and this is the perfect image for her.  She is such a tomboy and this is so something she would do.

Materials I used for My Project:
Copic Markers - B39, B37, B34, B32, YR07, YR04, YR01, YR00
Black Cat Cougar Cutter
SU sentiment stamp
SU Oval punch
Spellbinder's oval die

Here's a close up of my colored image.

So now it's your turn!  Head on over to the challenge blog, check out the great projects the other DT members have created asinspiration for you, and then make your project to enter.  We sure do love to see what you create!
Thanks so much for stopping by,

Mo's Digital Pencil - In the DogHouse

Hi everyone!  Happy Monday evening!  We are finally getting some sunshine after a weekend of mostly rain and hubby is grilling our dinner, yummy!  We are smelling the fruits of his labor and patiently waiting to eat, trying not to let our tongues hang out too far.  Just hot dogs and hamburgers but I love summer grilled food, it really is my favorite summer time dinner.  I mean, I love the George Foreman grill, but there isn't replacing an outside grilling experience.  It just can't be duplicated.

Today I made a card that I am entering into the challenge over at Mo's Digital Pencil.  The challenge this time is , In The DogHouse.  For my project I used the Mo's Digital pencil image, Taking a Break.  I also used my Black Cat Cutter and my SCAL program to make a doghouse shaped card.  I'm just terrible at themes for male cards and I thought that a doghouse would work well with this image.  The nice thing about a shaped card is that you don't always need a lot of embellishing.  Which is of course often true for male cards as well.

Materials I Used for My Project:
Copic Markers - B28, B26, B24, B21, E27, E25, E23, E34
Black Cat Cougar Cutter
SU Best Yet set sentiment stamp
SU circle and scalloped circle punch

Here's a close up of my colored image.

So glad you stopped by today,

Summer Craft Camp - Day 5

Good evening everyone!  Today was the final day of my craft camp and we finished up our time together by working on art journals.  Now, I have to say I am not an expert on art journaling, but I have recently become interested in them and thought this would be a great project for a young girl.  And, I was right, all the girls knew what a journal was and several of them wrote "Don't Touch" in several places on the journal.  We began this morning by decorating the cover and then I told the girls that they could work on preparing the inside pages for the rest of our time together.  I told them at home they could decide how they wanted to use the journal, to write in, to create more on their pages, whatever they wanted.  I really left today's creativity completely in their hands with a little guidance as to what an art journal is.  I then asked each girl to pick what they wanted to have photographed and that is what I am showing you today.

I want to take this final moment to thank everyone for supporting the girls during our camp this week!  In a world of cell phones, iPod's and ready made everything it is nice to pass a little creativity along.
So glad you stopped by today,

Saturated Canary - Fancy

Good afternoon everyone, Happy, Happy Friday! I AM happy to say that we dodged a HUGE weather bullet yesterday as the severe storms they were predicting missed our area, phew!  We had a little rain and a few rumbles of thunder.  But other than that it wasn't much of a storm at all.  I do feel for some of the areas south of us that did get the wind and a tornado.  I'm hoping no one was hurt and that the damage they sustained was just a little.  It was such a scary day just anticipating that something horrible may happen.

Today I am posting a card using one of the recent Freebie's from Saturated Canary, Fancy.  If you haven't yet gotten this one you really should click HERE and check it out.  In fact, she has a few others as well and they all are just super adorable.  I've been waiting to color this one up since I first downloaded it though, so here it is.  I am entering my project into the challenge at Saturated Canary, which is Black, White and one other color.  I'm also going to be entering my card into the challenge at the Color Me Creative challenge this time, which is to make something Girly.  I'd say that this image qualifies for that one!

Materials I Used for My Project:
Copic Markers - C9, C7, C5, C3, C1, Co, RV25, RV23, RV10, RV000
Spellbinder's dies
Wild Orchid Flowers
SU scalloped border die
MS Frond Punch
Rhinestones

Here's a close up of this fancy lady!

I'll be back later with the last projects from my craft camp.  It was such a fun week and I hope the girls took some ideas with them!
So glad you stopped by today,

Summer Craft Camp - Day 4

Hi everyone!  Today is our 4th day of camp and we worked on tags and a small wall decoration today.  I also read to the girls your comments from yesterday and they again were thankful of your kind words.  I'm not going to type too much today as I have taken a picture of all of the girls projects and would like to share them with you, so today is going to be a picture heavy post.  Also, I am fighting a major storm entering our area and I want to finish before any bad weather begins.  Right now is just rain and I hope it stays that way!

Thanks again everyone for all of your support this week!  We have enjoyed reading the comments every day and your interpretation of the girls projects!

Little Miss Muffet - Neapolitan

Good morning everyone and Happy Thursday to all of you!  Two more days and the weekend is here!  It's been a very busy week for me and if you have been stopping by you will have seen all the fabulous creations by the girls who have been attending my craft camp.  We have today and tomorrow left to go and I have had a good week with these girls!

Our area is in for a bit of scary weather today and I am a little nervous about that.  They started mid-day yesterday afternoon forecasting the potential of pretty bad storms, including large hail, heavy winds and possible isolated tornadoes.  I really hope they are over playing it this time, but every time I see a new weather forecast it just keeps getting worse.  This is not how I wanted to get the much needed rain in our area, a little at a time would have been much better!  It looks like we will be spending a lot of our time in the basement tomorrow afternoon!  Better safe than sorry, that's all I have to say!

Today at Little Miss Muffet we are starting a new challenge and our challenge this time around is Neapolitan.  What a neat theme for a challenge, don't you think?  I am a huge fan of Neapolitian ice cream EXCEPT for the fact that there is ALWAYS more strawberry than any other flavor.  Now come one, MOST of us like chocolate and vanilla waaaaay better than strawberry so WHY do they torture us with so much strawberry in the Neapolitan containers.  But, I've run off of the topic of our challenge and if you KNOW what I am talking about with my ice cream flavors than you know that Neapolitan is white(cream), pink and brown.  Those are the colors to use for this week's challenge.

Materials I Used for My Project:
Copic Markers - E29, E25, E23, E34, R22, R21, R20
Wild Orchid Flowers
Pearls
Spellbinder's dies
MS Frond Punch
MS Rose Leaf Punch

I followed the sketch from the Mojo Monday challenge this week for my card.  Here's what the sketch looked like before I put my card together.

I also took a close up of my colored image.

There are so many other fabulous projects by the Little Miss Muffet DT, hope you can stop by the blog to take a look!
So glad you stopped by today,

Summer Craft Camp - Day 3

Good afternoon everyone!  Three days down of this week's craft camp and two more to go.  Before I get started on today's activities I wanted to give all of you a HUGE THANK YOU!  Your support of these girls over the last few days has been awesome and has been very positive for the girls.  After reading them the comments from yesterday one of the girls wanted to be sure to say thank you to all of you!  They really are a great group of girls to work with.

Today during our session we made a few scrapbook pages and a card.  My intention was to make one page and one card but I forgot how quickly kids work so we had enough time, and they had enough pictures, for a second page.  For obvious reasons I am not going to post pictures of the girls scrapbook pages, but I have to tell you that they were spectacular!  Each page was an original and had a piece of each girls personality in it and plenty of embellishments.  Girls after my own heart already!

I AM going to post a picture of each girls card from today.  We didn't stamp today but instead used die cuts and flowers to make our cards.  I, of course, think they are gorgeous, but I will let the cards speak for themselves!

Molly decided that she would like to put glitter on her card after we had taken our original picture.  She asked me to take another picture of her card with glitter on it, so I did!  Below is the version of Molly's card with glitter.

Again, I just want to take the time to thank you for following the girls work this week and leaving them such wonderful comments.
So glad you stopped by today
&
so are the girls!

Summer Craft Camp - Day 2

Hi everyone, today was the second day of my summer youth camp and I wanted to share a few of the projects the girls made during our time together.  They loved hearing the comments about the cards and were excited to know that people were commenting from all over the world!  Today we made bookmarks and a set of mini-note cards and I am going to share the girls note cards.  We worked on placing an image in the center of the page when making these. As I said yesterday, they really are doing well.
