Tiddly Inks - Fall Queen

Okedoke, I've been trying to get to this post all week and just haven't been able to sit down and finish.  You know how it goes, life gets in the way.  Dinner needs to be made and then eaten, kids need baths, homework needs to get done, on and on.  So today I have a few unexpected extra minutes and I am going to use them to finish this post.  Unless of course someone needs me, which of course never happens around here.  I am the least needed person in the world, Ha, ha!

Anyway, today I am posting a project using the Tiddly Inks image, Fall Queen.  This is such a great fall image and I used it to make a 3D bag project instead of a card.  I just needed a break from the cards I have been making.

Materials I Used for My Project:
Copic Markers
Wild Orchid Flowers
Spellbinder's Circle and Scalloped Circle dies
MS Border Punch
SU Oval Punch
Pearls

Here's a closer look at my colored image.

This cat is a cutie, isn't she?!  What a great image to use to usher in fall!

Little Miss Muffet - Build A Monster

Good morning everyone!  It's Thursday, hooray!  That means that Friday is just around the corner, which means that the weekend is almost here.  My plans for the weekend are to try and recoup some of my energy with crafting, crafting and more crafting!  I have really been putting a lot of my attention on my school work since the beginning of September and this weekend I think I need a little brain break.  I give them to my kindergartners all the time and now I need one for myself!

This week at Little Miss Muffet we have a new release for you.  Our release this week is a fun one, this week we have Build -A-Monster images for you.  I had fun trying to figure out what parts I wanted to put together to make my monster come to life.  What a great release with Halloween just around the corner as well!

I'm using the sketch from The Sweet Stop Challenge blog this week.  Here is what the original sketch looked like.

Also, besides entering my card into the challenge at The Sweet Stop this week they are having a DT call.  I thought I may try my hand at their open call this time around!

Materials I Used For My Project:
Copic Markers
Spellbinder's Classic Circle and Scalloped Circle die
Glossy Accents

Here's a close up of my colored image.  I had a hard time with this one.  I just couldn't figure out exactly how I wanted my monster colored.

The fun part of today's release is that if you stop by the Little Miss Muffet Blog you will see so many different style of monsters and so many wonderful creations by the other DT members.  I hope you have the time to stop by and take a look!

7 Kids College Fund - Fall Inspired

Good morning everyone, Happy Wednesday to all of you!  How are you on this beautiful day?  The week is half over, fall is in the air and all the wonderful smells of fall and this time of year are all around us.  I love the smell of apples, pumpkins and wood burning stoves just starting up for the season.  We've had our first taste of apple cider donuts for this season as well, yum, yum, and my son is off on an apple picking field trip with his daycare class this morning.  As crazy as this time of year can be for me it is also enjoyable and, in some ways, relaxing.  It's funny how your tastes change as you get older, but fall has really become my favorite times of year.  The leaves are just starting to turn and I just love the combination of browns, oranges and yellow you see outside right now.

All this talk of fall leads me into our challenge at 7 Kids College Fund this time around.  Our new challenge is to make something Fall Inspired.  I hope you can see all the possibilities for this one, there really are so many.  For my fall inspired project I used one of the new Saturated Canary rubber stamps, Autumn.  I love when my favorite digi artists put some of their images into rubber.  After all these years I am just a rubber stamping girl at heart!

Materials I Used for My Project:
Cryogen White Paper
Copper Heat embossing powder
Wild Orchid Flowers
Pearls
MS Leaf Punch
CM Leaf Punch

I get into these moods where I feel like all of my projects are cookie cutter likenesses of one another and I just have to create with something a little different to make myself feel better.  In this case I used copper embossing powder and embossed leaves onto one of my background papers.  I actually LOVE the way it came out and I am so glad that I did it!  I don't think this picture does it justice, but it does pop in real life!

Here's a closer look at my colored image.

So what now?  Well, it's your turn to play along with our challenge!  Just make a fall inspired project using products carried at the 7 Kids College Fund store and then link it up on our blog.  If you still need a little inspiration then stop by the challenge blog to see the fabulous projects created by the other 7 Kids DT members.

I'm going to enter my card into the current challenge at the Color Me Creative Site, which is to use Fall Colors.

Thanks so much for stopping by today,

Elisabeth Bell - Christmas with a Non-Christmas Image

Good morning all, T - G - I - F!  If you've been stopping by this week you know that I have been looking forward to Friday!  I always find Friday nights so relaxing as I know I don't have to get up to go to work the next day, or get the kids ready for school, you know how it is.  Just one morning of hanging around the house for a few extra minutes and not having to rush out the door to be somewhere is nice.  I am not one of those people who thrives by always being on the go.  A little relaxing time at home is always a good thing.  Don't get me wrong, I only sit still when I have to, but I just love being around the house.

Today I am posting a card I made using the Elisabeth Bell digital image, Creative Genius Michele.  It's been a long time since I've participated in an Elisabeth Bell challenge but after browsing around some of her new and old images I just had to start playing along again.  Time of course is always a factor when figuring out what challenges to enter or not enter, but I am bound and determined to start visiting some of my old favorites again.  The challenge this time around at Elisabeth Bell is to make a Christmas card using a non-Christmas image.

Materials I Used for My Project:
Copic Markers
Wild Orchid Flowers
White Gel Pen
Glossy Accents
MS Border Punch
MS Frond Punch

I am also entering my card into the challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday.  Here is their sketch for this week.

AND, here's a closer look at my colored image.

Saturated Canary - Bbbbbbb's

Good evening my crafty friends!  Are you counting down until the weekend?  I know that I am, although sometimes I wonder why when I am just going to blink and "poof" it's Monday again!  I have learned not to rush my life away though, I try to savor every moment that I can, especially with the kids.  They grow so quickly and life spins around us so fast that when we have some enjoyable time together, I want to take the time to enjoy it!  Even with life being as crazy as it is I feel blessed by the life I have with my family.

Today I am posting  card I made using the Saturated Canary image, Cinders.  And, of course I want to enter my project into the challenge over at Saturated Canary!  What is the challenge this time around, use at least two things on your project that begin with the letter B.  For my B's I have blue, butterfly and beautiful because I think this image is simply gorgeous!

Materials I Used on My Project:
Copic Markers
Wild Orchid Flowers
Crystal Stickles
Glossy Accents
Floral Embellishments
Broken China Distress Ink pad
Spellbinder's Scalloped Circle Die
Spellbinder's Scalloped Square die
Cheery Lynn Designs Flourish die
MS Rose Leaf Punch
MS Butterfly Punch

I love images with fairy tale origins, and this one isn't any different!  Here's a closer look at my colored image.

That's it for the moment.  I'm off to give my son a bath and figure out dinner with the hubby for the evening.  I am attempting to get the kids to not snack so much as they haven't been eating such great dinners.  Of course, neither one is very happy with me right now.
Thanks so much for stopping by today,

Little Miss Muffet - Anything But A Square

Good morning my friends!  Happy Thursday to all of you!  Two more days to go and then the weekend, wahoo!  Although, I really can't complain, this week hasn't been too terrible.  I am finally acclimating to being back in school and leaving the house with the kids on a daily basis.  I drop one off to the bus stop, the other to daycare, and then off to work I go.  Actually, last night was the first night I got home and felt almost like a human being.  Hubby even asked me if I was feeling better as I seemed like I was in a better mood.  I really am physically and emotionally exhausted at the end of the day, especially with all the humidity we have been having.

Today at Little Miss Muffet we are starting a new challenge, and this time I remembered to follow it!  This challenge we want you to make a project in any shape EXCEPT a square.  For my project I used the image, My Ride.  I love fall and the colors of fall so I made my card using these colors AND since the current challenge at Color Me Creative is to use Fall Colors I am going to enter my project into their challenge.

Materials I Used on My Project:
Copic Markers
Glossy Accents
Cheery Lynn Designs die
Cheery Lynn Doily die
Spellbinder's grand Circle dies
Spellbinder's Oval and Scalloped Oval dies
Orange and Brown Pearl embellishments

Here's a closer look at my colored image.

Well, that's it for me but I hope you can play along with our challenge this time around.  Don't forget, if you use a Little Miss Muffet image then you can enter your challenge as Anything Goes!

Still looking for a little more inspiration, check out the projects by the other Little Miss Muffet DT members. Just stop by the challenge blog to be wowed by these wonderful ladies!

Some Odd Girl - Renew

Hi everyone!  How are you on this Wednesday afternoon?  The work week is half over and we are getting some absolutely gorgeous weather here in the northeast.  Of course this only comes after a terrible wind and rain storm yesterday where many tree limbs, and trees, have fallen. Some of those around us were even without power for a little while.  We were lucky enough to keep our power and the only downed branch was in our neighbors yard.  Thankfully no one was hurt and it looks like it is more about cleaning up the branch than any real damage, thank goodness!  Of course the best part was the beautiful weather we had today, even with a little water and mud puddles around.

Today I am posting a card using one of the Some Odd Girl images I recently purchased from 7 Kids College Fund, Renew.  After buying a few Some Odd Girl stamps I'm enjoying them enough that I am sure I need to get a few more, soon!  They really are beautiful stamps!

Materials I Used on My projects:
Wild Orchid Flowers
Pearls
Cherry Lynn Corner die

Here's a closer look at my colored image.

Isn't she beautiful?  I've seen Some Odd Girl stamps before but it wasn't until I colored a few up myself that I really started to appreciate their beauty.  Sometimes you just have to see things close up for yourself to truly appreciate them.

Mo's Digital Pencil - Anything Goes

Hi everyone!  I did it, I made it through the first Monday of the school year.  You know how Monday's are, the most dreaded day of the work week and I managed to make it through the first one of the ENTIRE school year.  It's all down hill from here!

Today I am posting a card I made using the Mo's Digital Pencil image, Fall Fairy Jensen!  I love Mo's fairies and I just love fall and fall colors so this card was so much fun for me to make!  In fact, as I am typing this I can feel an amazing cool breeze from our window and the humidity from the last few weeks has disappeared.  I am so glad because I've had enough of humidity, truly.  I'm sure it will be back before fall really begins, but I am going to enjoy this beautiful cooler weather while I can.

Of course I am entering my project into the Anything Goes challenge at Mo's this week!
I am also going to enter my card today into the challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday.  I haven't been able to enter this challenge over the last few weeks but I am happy to be back to playing along with their challenge today.  Here is what their sketch looks like this week.

AND, here is the card I made using this beautiful sketch.

Little Miss Muffet - Writing - Add a Book Page

Good morning everyone, Happy Thursday!  As you are reading this I am getting to know a new year of Kindergartners and showing them around our school.  I always feel bad for them the first few days of school because there is so much they have to know before really beginning anything, and so much time is spent talking to them about rules, routines, the school and much more.  They are always exhausted at the end of the first day but mostly exhausted from listening to me talk.  It gets better as time goes on, but it is hard for a four or five year old to have to listen as long as we want and need them to.

Today at Little Miss Muffet we are starting a new challenge and that challenge is Writing, Add a Book Page.  Now, I knew what the challenge was, I kept telling myself to find an old book page (I hate tearing apart books.  I ALWAYS feel like I am doing something wrong!).  I found a few challenges that I wanted to gear my card towards so I could enter them. I mean, the planning was pretty good.  And then, I finished my card and huh, no writing or book page in it.  Really!?  I knew what I had to do but while actually working on my card my brain, well, my brain decided to take a little break.  Sooooooo, my card is an example for those of you who are choosing to use a Little Miss Muffet image.  At our challenge blog if you  use a Little Miss Muffet image then the challenge is always Anything Goes and you don't have to create a project to fit our theme.  This is good for people like me whose brains take a break when you really just need them to be working.

As I said I did create my card to fit into two other challenges.  I am entering my card into the challenge at the Color Me Creative website, which is to use the color yellow.  I am also entering my card into the challenge at The Sweet Stop.  The Little Miss Muffet image I used is Julia.

Here's the sketch this week at The Sweet Stop.

Here's my card using this sketch, although I turned it a little to best fit my colored image.

Materials Used For This Project:
Copic Markers
Wild Orchid Flowers
Pearls
MS Rose leaf punch

Here's a close up of the colored image.

If you're looking for an idea to fit this week's challenge then stop on by the challenge blog where the rest of the DT team have really outdone themselves with their creations.  AND, they didn't lose their mind halfway through, so their cards are following this weeks challenge!  Lol!

Saturated Canary - Dotty

HIYA everyone, Happy Wednesday evening.  I have been back to work for two days and I am just plum tired out AND I haven't even had any kids yet!  Tomorrow my students come for the first time and It is going to be a busy day!  Also, Kindergarten requires A LOT of stamina and energy and if I feel tired today I can only imagine what I am going to feel like tomorrow!  The good news is that it gets easier after I get back into the routine.

Today I am posting a card I made for my sister and that I am going to enter into the challenge this week at Saturated Canary.  I originally colored this image for the last challenge but with preparing for school to begin I just never got around to making a project with it.  The image I used is Quennie and Princess and the funny thing is that after I finished coloring it I realized that the two girls look like my sister and I when we were little, same hair color, eye color and all.  I didn't even do this ON PURPOSE!  My sister and I are only 15 months apart but she was so tiny and cute when we were kids that "Princess" just looks like her.  The grin is what I find the most similar.  As for me, I was always that girl that was taller than the boys until high school when they caught up and then surpassed me in height.  I'm telling you, these two girls could be us!

Materials I Used for My Projects:
Copic Markers
Wild Orchid Flowers
Spellbinder's dies
Magnolia Doohickey die
MS Border Punch
Diamond Stickles

Here's a close up of my colored image.

Well, that's it for me today.  I'm off to work on a few school related items for tomorrow, have some dinner made by hubby (THANK YOU DEAR!) and then call it a night.

Mo's Digital Pencil - Smith

Hi everyone, a very quick post from me this evening.  I am exhausted from my first day of getting up with the alarm and heading out the door for work this school year.  Not a tough day, just a long one.  Anyway, I wanted to post my entry to the Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge this week, Layers.  I used the Mo's image Smith for my card.  I actually colored her a few weeks ago but couldn't come up with an idea of how I wanted to use her.  I made a card to give to my mom for going back to work as well, she is an aide in the same school I work in.

I'm not going to list my materials this evening, but if you want to know anything just leave a comment and I will be happy to get back to you.

Here's a quick close up of my colored image.

Have a good night everyone!  Hoping tomorrow is a great day!

Papelitos Stamps - Anything Goes

Good morning everyone!  Happy Tuesday to all of you out there in cyber land.  Today I am happy to be posting a card I made as a Guest Designer for the Papelitos Stamps Challenge Blog.  For the next month I will be guest designing for their challenges and I am excited about the opportunity!  What a great challenge to start with, Anything Goes!  It left my creativity open to interpretation and when I saw the Papelitos image, Ana I knew just what I wanted to do.  I am currently on an art journal kick.  I have just fallen in love with the idea of allowing yourself to be so free and able express yourself in a way that is creative and totally your own.  I am such a stuffy person, hardly ever taking risks and always playing things safe.  I find that by experimenting with art journaling I can break out of that mold and take a "walk on the wild side", so to speak.  So far my journals have still been pretty tame, but give a girl time.

Anyway, the one thing I have been doing is finding of examples of things I would like to draw and storing them on a Pinterest Board.  Then I have been printing them out and taping them to one side of a small drawing journal I have made so it can be portable and I am able to take it anywhere.  I really want to practice my drawing skills so this is how I have begun to do it.  Since Ana is an artist I have covered the front of my most recent journal and it will be my new place to practice drawing.  I've also finally realized that my crafts aren't necessarily something I always need to give away to others, I can keep them for myself as well.

Materials I Used for My Project:
Copic Markers
Black Rhinestones
Spellbinder's Circle dies
MS Border Punch
Cinch Binding Machine
Cherry Lynn dies doily die

Here's a close up of my colored image.

Just perfect for this journal, don't ya think?  I hope you can take a moment to stop by the Papelitos Stamps challenge.
