Tiddly Inks - Funky Hand Blog Hop

Good morning everyone, TGIF!  AND, what a great Friday we have for you today!  Tiddly Inks and Funky Hand have gotten together and today we are having a blog hop.  That's right, a blog hop.  We have been so lucky to be able to create a project for you today using Tiddly Inks images and Funky Hand paper, and let me tell you, what a great combination!

Now, if you're new to blog hopping, or blog hopping at Tiddly Inks, let me tell you how it works.  The list of participants can be found HERE on the main page at Tiddly Inks.  Instead of hopping around blindly from blog to blog we have made it much easier for you.  Just open each blog in a new window and view them from there.  How do you do this, click CNTRL and then the link and TADA, a new window will open.  ( I gotta tell ya, this is a new one for me, I had no idea that you just had to do this when traveling to get a new window.  You learn something new every day.)

So, enough jabbering from me, let's get to my project.  For my project today I used the Tiddly Inks image, With All My Heart, and the Funky Hand paper, Love Love Love.  I simply love the way they look together! I hope hubby does too, this is going to be his Christmas card this year!

Materials I Used on My Project:
Copic Markers
Spellbinder's dies
Pearls
Magnolia Doohickey Punch

Well, I hope you've enjoyed your time visiting.  If you need to get back to the main hop list, well then just click HERE.
Thanks so much for stopping by today,

Little Miss Muffet - Tags or Gifts

Hi everyone, how are you doing this Thursday morning?  Can you believe it is almost December, I can't!  This year has just flown by and it's hard to believe we are in the Christmas season again. There is always so much to do this time of year and I feel like I am always running two steps behind desperately trying to keep up.

No matter how busy I am though I refuse to allow it to be a constant interference for my crafting.  Some people enjoy relaxing to a drink, others relax by exercising but I love to take some time to get lost in my crafts.  That is exactly what I did when working on today's project, especially when coloring my image.  I find it so relaxing to put on the television, sit with my copics in hand and color an image or two.  It's usually after coloring that I can see how I want to put a project together.

For our challenge at Little Miss Muffet this week I made a tag and the image I used is Swings and Slides Snow Buds.  I've been really intrigued by those Winter/Christmas projects using pink and so I used and red for the colors on my project today.

I apologize for the crooked photo, I just can't seem to keep things going straight up and down, or in the right direction lately.

Materials I Used on My Project:
Copic Markers
Spellbinder's Grand Circle and Scalloped Circle dies
Wild Orchid Flowers
MS Frond Punch
MS Rose Leaf Punch
Crystal Stickles
Pearls
Ribbon

So, my crafty friends, now it's your turn.  Create a tag or gift and link it up to our blog.  If you're looking for a little more inspiration, then look no further than our Little Miss Muffet DT.  Those ladies really have outdone themselves and I hope you can take a moment to check out their creations.

Tiddly Inks Tuesday - Make it Like Marlena

Yes, you read that correctly.  Today at Tiddly Inks we have a new challenge and our challenge is for you to make a card/project using a card previously made by ME.  It was fun to make a new project using an old project as inspiration.  Of course, you can use any part of the sample card to inspire you, the image, the sketch, the color, the theme, whatever you like, it's all up to you.  Let's start by taking a look at the card we used for inspiration this week.

Cute, huh?  I know, I'm a little biased but this image of Christy's really was so much fun to create with and I hope this card inspires you to join our challenge this time around.

For my project this week I used the basic sketch and colors from the card.  This time around though I used Wryn on cloud 9 as my image.

Unfortunately, poor Wryn is sitting a little crooked on her cloud.  I centered my card using Wryn's hat instead of how she was sitting on her cloud, so her Cloud looks ready to send her off to Cloud 8.  I hope Wryn forgives me, I didn't mean to have her go sliding anywhere.

Materials I Used on My Project:
Copic Markers
Wild Orchid Flowers
Spellbinder's Circle and Scalloped Circle die
Pearls
EK Success Punch
Crystal Stickles

Here's a closer look at this simply floating Wryn.

Now it's your turn, use our picture/project for inspiration and then play along with us this week.  As always, I can't wait to see what you create, but I'm super psyched to see what you think up using my project for inspiration.
Thanks so much for stopping by,

The Sweet Stop

Good morning everyone, Happy, Happy Saturday!  I am soooo glad that Saturday is here, it was a long week and now I have a touch of laryngitis to prove it.  I believe I'm starting to sound like a broken record about my long week's, or maybe I should get more with the times and say broken CD or broken iPod.  Thank goodness that we have a few extra days off for Thanksgiving next week.  I am happy to be able to spend a little extra time with the family and catch my breath.

And, on a happier more positive note I am going to post my card for our challenge at The Sweet Stop this week.  I am really enjoying being a Sugar Baby and playing along with the fabulous sketches each week.  Take a look what we have in store for you with this week's sketch.

Fabulous, right!?  And, we have a little added "spin" for you this week, tasty treats!  For my project I used the Mo's Digital Pencil image, Little Sugar Plum Fairy.

Materials I Used on My Project:
Copic Markers
Crystal Stickles
Wild Orchid Flowers
Susanaments sentiment stamp

Here's a closer look at the colored fairy.

So now, my friends, it's your turn.  Find your favorite "tasty" treat and create a project using our sketch!  And, of course, you can find even more inspiration when you stop by the challenge blog and check out what they other Sugar Babies have created this week!
Thanks so much for stopping by today,

Little Miss Muffet - Textile

Good morning everyone!  I hope you are enjoying this Thursday! I have an extra long day today as we are having parent/teacher report card conferences at the school where I work.  Although my students will only be here a half day I will bee meeting with parents and my day doesn't end until 6:30 tomorrow evening, later than usual and I am just not an evening person at all.  I always feel bad for the parents with the later appointments because I must look like a disheveled mess by then.

Today at Little Miss Muffet we have a new challenge for you and this time it is to use textiles on your project.  Thank goodness for my ribbon because I always have such a hard time deciding what I should do for a textile project and then just end up using some of my ribbon stash.  Besides, I love ribbon anyway.

For my project I used the Little Miss Muffet image, Zabel.

Materials I Used on My Project:
Copic Markers
Pearls
Wild Orchid Flower
Spellbinder's Oval dies
Ribbon

Here's a closer look at my colored image.

Now we would love for you to play along.  Use your favorite textile on your project and enter it into our challenge.  And, of course, my DT friends at Little Miss Muffet have plenty of fabulous projects to help inspire you.  Just stop on by the challenge blog to check them out.
Thanks so much for stopping by,

Tiddly Inks - Checking it Twice

Hi everyone, it's me again.  A two post day, go figure.  I even had to go to work, had a meeting, and here I am posting again today.  Too bad my entire day wasn't this productive.

This evening I am posting a card that I made using a Tiddly Inks image, Checking the List.  I am in full swing with making my holiday cards and this was the perfect image for a small set.

Materials I Used on My project:
Copic Markers
Spellbinder's Label die
Fiskars Flower Punch
MS Flowers Punch
MS Rose Leaf Punch
Pearls

Here's a closer look at my colored image.

Well, I'm off, I hope you enjoy the rest of your evening.  We are just waiting for hubby to get home so we can have dinner and then call it a night!
Thanks so much for stopping by,

Tiddly Inks Tuesday - Gratitude

Good morning everyone, Happy Tuesday.  Today we have a perfect challenge for you at Tiddly Inks as next week is Thanksgiving here in the U.S.  This time around our challenge is Gratitude.  I know that I have so much to be thankful for, my family, friends, a home, a job, the list could go on and on.  One thing I am especially grateful for is being able to be a member of such a great design team as Tiddly Inks.  The ladies on this team are such a great group of people to work with and Christy's images are also a thrill to play around and create with. What more could a girl as for?

For my Gratitude project to day I am using the Tiddly Inks image, Wryn in the Fall.  If you're a Wryn fan you'll certainly love this one, I know I do.

Materials I Used on My Project:
Copic Markers
Wild Orchid Flowers
MS Frond Punch
SU Sentiment Stamp
Cheery Lynn Designs Doily die

Here's a closer look at my colored image.  I can't say I'm very happy with this one.  My markers were being cranky and I just don't like the way they blended together.

Now it's your turn my crafty friends.  Choose your favorite Tiddly Inks image and create your gratitude card.  You don't have to be celebrating Thanksgiving to be grateful, or thankful, for what you have in your life.

My Tiddly Inks DT friends have really come up with some fabulous examples for you on this one.  Hope you can stop by and check their projects out.
Thanks so much for stopping by today,

The Sweet Stop

Hi everyone, Happy Saturday!  I hope you are enjoying a little extra pajama time today and a few extra snuggles with the honey, the kids, or both.  Weekends really just need to be a time to relax and take a deep breath after the long work week.  Now, of course that isn't the case, we all spend the weekend catching up on our errands, household work and spending time with the kids before we crash again and the new work week begins.  But hey, that vision of relaxation is a good dream, isn't it?

Today I am writing my second post as part of the design team at The Sweet Stop.  In fact, today's card doesn't even have a colored image on it.  Can you believe it?  I don't think I've ever posted a card without some type of image on it, I love my coloring and my images.  This sketch called for something a little different this time and in the end I liked the finished card.

Here's the sketch for our challenge this week.  It was tricky for me at first, simpler always seems to be trickier, doesn't it?

And of course here is my take on the sketch for this week.

I am such a terrible photographer.  My images always come out lopsided or crooked.  The harder I try to take a straight image the worse the crooked angle becomes.

Materials Used on My Project:
Silver embossing Powder
Heat gun
MS Snowflake Punch
Pearls

I hope you can play along with us!  As always you can find more inspiration from the rest of the Sugar Babies if you stop by our challenge blog.
Thanks so much for stopping by,

Tiddly Inks - Throwback Thursday

Hi everyone, how are you this evening?  We are waiting for our gourmet meal of chicken patties and potato crowns to be done in the oven.  Nutritious, I know, but that is the type of week it has been.  For example, I had hoped to post this project earlier today and, well, that just didn't happen.

At Tiddly Inks we have been trying to showcase some of Christy's older images as Wryn has simply stolen the show as of late.  Of course, there is good reason for Wryn to steal the show, she is just ADORABLE!  But, Christy's other images are JUST AS FABULOUS and so we wanted to show off some of them as well.

For my project I used the image, Druscilla.  This is one I have loved from the moment I saw it.  For my project today I decided to make the card and image using a Christmas/Holiday theme.  Those holiday's will be here before you know it and I thought this image would be great on a holiday card.

Materials I Used On My Project:
Copic Markers
Wild Orchid Flowers
MS Frond Punch
Spellbinder's Oval and Scalloped Oval dies
Pearls
Diamond Stickles
White gel pen

Here's a closer look at my colored image.

I hope I've inspired you to check out some of Christy's older images.  They certainly are "oldies but goodies."
Thanks so much for stopping by today,

Little Miss Muffet - New Release

Good morning everyone!  I hope you are having a fabulous Thursday morning.  We are dealing with some cold weather and possibly some snow (I'm pre-posting this so I'm not sure if the snow will actually arrive or not.  I never trust the weather!).  It's amazing how quickly the weather has changed.  A little snow is no big deal for us, but I do feel for those who were seriously affected by hurricane Sandy.  Parts of NYC, which is only about 2 hours from here, have been devastated and the last thing they need right now is nasty weather, no matter how big or little the storm front is.  I hope that everyone can stay safe and dry and try to rebuild from everything that has happened.

Today at Little Miss Muffet we have some new release images for you.  I LOVE them, they are Thanksgiving themed and I was able to make a new decoration for my door.  I am always creating projects for others, and other reasons, that I have started making a few of my projects for myself as well.  This is the third for my front door.  I have an all season decoration, then I made a Halloween one and now Thanksgiving.   Next up, Christmas/Winter.  It's nice to have a little of my own projects hanging around the house and Welcoming people inside.

For today's project I used the new release image, Operation TreehouseThanksgiving.  This image was just perfect for what  I had in mind.

Materials I Used on My Project:
Copic Markers
Black Cat Cougar Cutter
Spellbinder's Grand Circle and Scalloped Circle dies
Wild Orchid Flowers
MS Frond Punch
Glossy Accents

Here's a closer look at my colored image.

That's it for me today, but my DT friends at Little Miss Muffet have some amazing projects for you to check out.  I hope you can stop by and take a look!
Thanks so much for stopping by today,

7 Kids College fund - Bling!

Hiya everyone, boy am I behind today!  I usually make my 7 Kids College Fund post for Wednesday morning and here it is 4:30 pm and I am just getting to it now!  Ugh!  It's report card week so my mind has been on assessing and getting grades on the report cards.  Plus, we are entering the grades into the computer for the first time so there is a bit of a learning curve.  Add that to all of life's other craziness (and a few add on crazy moments) and I am completely behind!

With that being said, let's get onto my project for this week.  Our new challenge at 7 kids college Fund is Bling!  I love my bling, on my cards anyway.  I'm not big on large jewelry but I'm a girl who sure does LOVE shiny jewelry.  I gave the girl on my card a little hair jewelry and plenty of bling.  I used the Some Odd Girl image, Royal on my card.  What's royalty without a little bling and jewels, right?!

Materials I Used on My Project:
Wild Orchid Flowers
Crystal Rhinestones
Magnolia Doohickey die

Here's a closer look at my colored royalty.

So friends, now it's your turn to play along!  Hope on over to the challenge blog and add your bling project.  Don't forget, you must use a product carried at 7 Kids College Fund to enter our challenge.
Thanks so much for stopping by today,

An Announcement

Good morning everyone, Happy Saturday!  I have some super exciting news to share with all of you!  Today I can officially announce that I am now a Design Team member at the The Sweet Stop blog, I'm a Sugar Baby! Squeal!  I am so excited and happy to be sharing my first project with you as part of this fabulous design team!

If you've been by the Sweet Stop Blog before then you know that it is a sketch challenge blog.  Here is the sketch we would like you to follow this week to enter into our challenge.

For my card I used a Sweet and Sassy image, Bundled Up Snowman.  Snowmen are my favorite in the winter, snowman images at least.  I'm perfectly happy to watch the snow from inside as it falls on the outside.  I let the kids and hubby make the snowmen and I take the pictures.  Works for me!

Materials I Used for My Project:
Copic Markers
Ribbon
Glitter embellishments
Spellbinder's Classic Oval and Scalloped Oval dies

Here's a closer look at my colored image.

Now it's your turn!  Create a card using the above sketch and link it to the Sweet Stop Blog.  The other Sugar Babies have made some fabulous projects to inspire you.  I hope you stop by the challenge blog to take a look and then link up your own project and play along!

Little Miss Muffet - Fireworks

Good morning and Happy Thursday everyone!  This has been such a strange week and I'm amazed it's almost over!  Halloween was such a looooong but good day!  We had lots of special activities at my school for my kindergarten class and then home and trick-or-treating and visiting all of the grandparents so they could see the little guy in his costume.  Our daughter came along too and of course all the grandparents gave her candy as well.  My son had lots of good trick-or-treating fun but by the time the evening was over hubby and I were just plain exhausted!  It was such a long day and we are simply not night time people!

Today at Little Miss Muffet we have a new challenge for you and this time around we want to see your projects inspired by Fireworks.  I know what you're thinking, this is a tough one.  We all felt the same way but it is amazing what you can come up with when you put your mind to it.  For my project I used the Little Miss Muffet image, Thelma Jean Hatter.

Materials I Used For My Project:
Copic Markers
Wild Orchid Flowers
Rhinestone Flourishes
MS Frond Punch
MS Rose Leaf Punch
Spellbinder's Classic Oval and Scalloped Oval dies

Here's a closer look at my colored image.

Now it's your turn to play along.  Create a project inspired by fireworks.  The other Little Miss Muffet DT members have some additional projects to inspire you.  Just step by the challenge blog to check them out.
Thanks so much for stopping by today,
