The Sweet Stop

Good morning everyone, Happy, Happy Saturday!  Can you believe the year is almost over?  A few more days and we will be ringing in 2013 with all new hopes and promises to try and keep.  I am not one for New Year's Resolutions, why make a promise that you know you can never keep?  But I do have a wish for the New Year, and that's a little more love and respect shared with everyone.  It seems to me that if we all just showed a little more kindness toward the person standing next to us, regardless of our personal opinions, we could start working together to end some of the senseless violence and meanness that our children have to see in the news every single day.  Forget seeing it in the news, these are things they are living in a very real way. I want my children to grow up with a chance at a better future and that begins with all of us that working together to make it happen.  Love, respect, kindness, these are all free.  They don't cost too much or take up a lot of extra time and quite frankly, it's just as simple as it sounds.  Well, it's my hope for the new year anyway and I am sure going to give it a try.

Today we have a new sketch for you to play along with at The Sweet Stop.  Thank goodness for my holiday vacation to help me catch up on my crafty projects after the craziness of the Christmas season.  For my project today I used an image from Saturated Canary, Zella.

Here's the sketch we had to start with.

Copic Markers
Crystal Stickles
Spellbinder's dies

Sweet Sketch Saturday

Hi everyone, what a crazy week it has been for me.  Yes, again.  It just seems as if I keep running around on an exercise circle and instead of slowing down to let me get off, it keeps going faster and faster, and I'm not a very good runner!  Thank goodness for days like today when I get the opportunity to put my crafty projects together and then share them with all of you!

Today is Saturday, which means we have a new sketch for you at The Sweet Stop.  And, it's another great one so I hope you can take a few moments to play along.

Fabulous, huh?  For my project using this sketch I used an Elisabeth Bell digital image, Pumpkin Fairy Ellora.
