The Sweet Stop Sketch #221

Good morning everyone on this beautiful Saturday!  Another week of summer down, boo, but at least it wasn't so miserable to move around and enjoy as the cooler weather decided to drop by for a little while.  A little too cool, if you ask me, but much better then the yucky heat that we were having.  A big thank you to Mother Nature, I'll take it.  Just in time to for a family reunion I am going to this weekend for my mother's side of the family.  It's been a long time since I have seen many of my relatives with us all getting older and having families of our own.  It will be nice to catch up with them and spend a little time together.  Even nicer is that we don't have to travel to far from our own home to go so we won't have to spend a long time in the car.  A short ride is always so much nicer then a longer one!

Today at The Sweet Stop we have a new sketch to share with you.  This week we are on Sketch #221 and of course it is just wonderful.  For my card this week I used the Saturated Canary image, Olympics.  I used a lot of orange on this card as it is my niece's favorite color and I am going to give her this card in a few weeks for her birthday.

Here's our sketch.

And now my take on our sketch.

Materials Used:
Copic Markers
MS Border Punch
Glossy Accents
Prima Flowers
Magnolia Doohickey die

Well, I'm off to get ready for the reunion, I hope you can join us this week.  Also, stop on by the challenge blog to see the fabulous projects created for you by the rest of the Sugar Babies.
Have a Great Saturday!
Thanks so much for stopping by,

  1. Darling card Marlena. Love the cute image and the colors. The orange looks great with the black. The soccer brad looks great!

  2. That image is so cute! A soccer ref is a little unexpected, but it works so well with the vibrant colour combo you have chosen - a great card, perfect for that sketch! Enjoy your holidays and family time! Hugs, Ann
