Hi again on this first Tuesday in November. I'm back again, this time with a project using the adorable image Christmas Angel Avie from I Brake for Stamps. This is another Chelsea Le Designs image, which is one of my favorite stamp lines at the store. I played around a little with this card and tried something new. I am always in such awe of how other crafters create the borders of their cards. It obviously isn't with a stamp pad so I figured it must be paint. So, I used a little Ranger acrylic paint and sponged around the edges of my paper after distressing them. I absolutely LOVE the way it came out. It was exactly what I wanted. I also sponged my flowers and gave the entire card this sponged look. I'd love to know what you think as it is my first attempt at this technique. On other cards I often see it done with white paint but based upon on the colors of my card I wanted to go with more of a vintage distressed look.
