I Brake For Stamps - Dragonfly Femme

Hi all, I'm back for my second post of the day.  This time I am sharing with you a project using the I Brake For Stamps image, Large Dragonfly Femme.    I love the Femme's, they have such a wonderful ethereal look to them.  I'm not sure of the colors I used on my image this time around but that's the great thing about stamps, you can just stamp another image and start all over again.  I didn't do that this time, although I may have if time were on my side.  I'll let you be the judge.

Instead of using the most prominent color as the colors for my card base I decided to use the dragonfly colors instead.  By doing this I really think it makes the image stand out and the colors look more vibrant.

Materials Used:
Copic Markers
Crystal Stickles
Wild Orchid Flowers
Prima Flowers
Black Cat Cougar
Fiskars Punch
Pearls

That's it for me today.  I hope the warm weather is here to stay, I have a number of plants to go into the ground.  It's been to rainy and windy up until now.  Wish me luck!

Tiddly Inks Tuesday - A Masculine Creation

Good morning friends!  How are you on this gorgeous Tuesday?  I am so happy to say gorgeous after the miserable weather we had here this weekend.  Rain, cold, extreme wind, it felt more like March than May.  Even worse was that we had a fairly large family party here this weekend and my house isn't all that big.  It wasn't raining on the day of the party, but the wind was wicked and it certainly was chilly.  You should have seen everyone crammed into my little house.  I think the party went well though, it was to celebrate my parents 40th wedding anniversary.  I had a much needed crash after everyone went home.  What a weekend!

Today at Tiddly Inks we have a new challenge for you.  This time around we want to see your masculine creation using a Tiddly Inks image.  I decided to begin making my Father's Day cards since Father's Day is only a few weeks away.  Just like Mother's Day I am blessed and lucky enough to have several men in my life who I will be making cards for.  So now is as good of a time as any to begin.

The Tiddly Inks image that I used on my card is Ricky.  He is a cutie and perfect for Father's Day.  Well, that's my opinion anyway.

Materials Used:
Copic Markers
Spellbinder's dies
Unity KOM Sentiment Stamp
Pearls
SU Bashful Blue stamp pad

Well, I'm off to work and to hopefully enjoy the day!  It's your turn to play around with your favorite masculine Tiddly Inks image and join our challenge.  You know, of course, that the rest of the Tiddly Inks DT have created some absolutely fabulous projects to inspire you.  Don't forget to take a moment to check those out.

MarkerPop - Anything But a Card

Hello, everyone and Happy Saturday!  I hope you are having better weather then we are!  It is a long holiday weekend here in the U.S., the unofficial start to the summer and it is going to be 50 degrees and rainy.  Ugh!  Really!?  It gets even better as we are having a fairly sizable party here on Sunday for my parents 40th Anniversary and now we may have to be inside.  Enough room in my house, not such much.  Thank goodness for decks and EZ up tents!

Today at MarkerPop I am sharing an Anything But a Card project.  I wanted to make a 3D project, a bag or a box, but it just wasn't in the cards.  I made this cute tag instead using the Magnolia image, Tilda with Prins Frog.

Materials Used:
Wild Orchid Flowers
Stickles

Well, I'm off to clean, cook and get organized for the party tomorrow!  Enjoy the rest of your day and stay warm!
Thanks so much for stopping by,

I Brake For Stamps - Pretty Mermaid

Good morning everyone!  Happy Tuesday to all of you!  Today I am sharing a project using an I Brake For Stamps image, Pretty Mermaid.  This is a Chelsea Le Designs image and a newer image at I Brake For Stamps.  I am not usually one for mermaid images, but this one caught my attention and once I saw it I just HAD to have it.  After coloring it, and putting a project together using the image, I am still happy with my decision.  It really is a great image to play around with, especially if you are looking for a summer, warm weather theme.  AND, since we have Memorial Day coming up this weekend here in the U.S., which is our unofficial start to the summer, I thought it was a good time to use this image.

Materials Used:
Copic Markers
Cherry Lynn dies
C.C. Designs die
Spellbinder's dies
SU Scalloped Border Punch
Wild Orchid Flowers
Pearls
Glossy Accents
Crystal Stickles

We are experiencing another great stretch of warm weather here in upstate NY.  A little rain as well, but you can't always have it all, and we need the rain.  Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday and hopefully the rest of your week!

The Sweet Stop Sketch #211 - Sketch With A Spin

Good morning everyone!  Can you believe it is Saturday again?  It always amazes me how those droll, cold days of winter seem to drag on and on and the warm, bright, cheerful days of spring and summer fly by without a thought to them as they pass.  Of course the sunny skies, warm weather and ability to open our windows and say "Ahhhh" makes their quick departure worth it in the end.  A little sunshine can go a long way, ya know!

Today we have a new sketch for you at The Sweet Stop.  This week we have a sketch with a spin and the spin is "Going Buggy."  I'm actually pretty excited that I was able to keep up with all of my DT duties this week.  School is very busy and we have had a lot going on here, as always, and for a few moments I didn't think I would be able to.  Stubbornness (my crafting is my only me thing,) and determination paid off and so that leaves me with my current project for today's sketch.

First, the sketch, of course.

And now my project using my sketch.  On my card I used the Tiddly Inks image, Happy Bee Day, from one of Christy's clear sets.  This image was just perfect for our spin this week.

Materials Used:
Copic Markers
Wild Orchid Flowers
Pearls
EK Success Punch
Distress Ink Pad, Wild Honey (on my flowers)

Isn't this week's sketch just fabulous?  Of course they all are, but what a great spring sketch and I love this week's spin.  There are so many cu-ute stamps out there that will help make your sketch pop, don't you think?  Of course you must give it a try to find out, so now it's your turn.  Once you've created your project link it up and play along.  Please don't forget to check out the fabulous projects by the rest of the SUGAR BABIES.  Trust me, you'll be glad that you did.

MarkerPop - A "Gorjuss" Chest of Drawers

Hi all!  I am going to make this short and quick.  I am preposting today's project as I am currently up way past by bedtime.  Now, that is only 10:00pm here in the Peduzzi household, at least for us parents, but it past my bedtime all the same.

Today I am posting a project that is a set of drawers made from cardstock.   I've made a set only once before so this is my second try.  I LOVE the way this type of project looks and mine came out okay in the end.  I still have some work on keeping the paper nice and flat and even, but it's not bad for only my second try at these.

On top of my drawers I have the Gorjuss image, Daisy.  This is my first Gorjuss image, but certainly not my last!

Materials Used:
Copic Markers - Skin: E11, YR01, E01, E000, E0000, Hair: E49, E29, E39, E31 and dress:C5, C3, C1, CB
Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish die
Pebbles Candy Dots
Fiskars Flower Punch
Pearls

Well, that's it for me!  Time to call it a night and catch some zzzzzz's.  I hope you enjoyed the project!

I Brake For Stamps - Blossom Fairy Avie

Hi all!  It's me again for my second post of the day!  This time I am sharing with you a project I made using the I Brake For Stamps image, Blossom Fairy Avie.  AND, as the title says Avie is a fairy of the flowers, so of course I had to add flowers to my card.  You don't think I can abstain from adding flowers every time, do you?  A girl can only deal with so much change in a day, ya know!

Materials Used:
Copic Markers
Wild Orchid Flowers
Stickles
Spellbinder's dies
MS Border Punch
Jolee Embellishments

Okay, that's truly it for me today.  Two posts is all I can handle.  I hope you are having a fabulous Tuesday, enjoy the rest of your day!

Tiddly Inks Tuesday - Wryn

SO, this weekend I took the hubby and little guy shopping to our local shoe store.  The one that sells shoes for flat footed people like me who stand on their feet all day and pay for it.  Especially if the right shoes aren't being worn.  I have worn my summer shoes to death and I was in need of new ones.  WELL, I found 5, yes 5 pairs of shoes that I LOVED, spent more money than hubby loved and bought the little guy a pair of sneakers that have laces.  He is four now and I wanted to get him started on learning to tie.  This has been a HUGE problem because all of the shoes for kids his age are velcro, YUCK!  I KNOW velcro is easier, come on now, I teach kindergarten.  BUT, the kids are never going to learn to tie their shoes if they don't have the opportunity to do so.  That simple.  Guess what, he hates the shoes.  They hurt.  UGH.  Well, we are slowly going to work him into wearing them anyway.

Why am I telling you all of this.  Well, I was happily prepared to wear my cute new shoes to church on Sunday and to work this week.  I was contemplating which pair I would wear first when WHAM, the weather changed.  The heat is back on at night and we are covering our plants so they will survive the cold.  No bare feet at the moment for me.  Stay tuned though, the weather is suppose to improve as the week goes on and if it does my shoes WILL be coming out of their boxes!

Today we have a new challenge for you at Tiddly Inks.  This time around we have all used a Wryn image on our projects.  That's the challenge, create a project using a Wryn image, there are Oh so many adorable ones to choose from, and then link it up to our challenge.  Wryn is just way too cute to pass up and if you don't have any then maybe this challenge is a good way to get your collection started.  The Wryn I Used today is Picture Perfect.

Do you ever get bored with your projects?  Feel like you are creating cookie cutter cards with only the image changing each time?  I do and so I changed it up a little bit with this one.  I used my Zutter distressing tool, which I love but very rarely use and didn't add one flower.  I can't believe I could stop myself from adding flowers, but I did.  Just a little different from my usual creations but it was a nice change.

Materials Used:
Copic Markers
Glossy Accents
Zutter Distressing tool
MS Large Border Punch
Cheery Lynn Small Flourish
Stone Embellishments

I don't color black hair very often but I thought I would give it to Wryn this time around.  She's look cute with black hair, don't you think.  Okay, now it's your turn!  Create a project using your favorite Wryn and link it up!  AND, don't forget to stop by the challenge blog and get even more inspiration from the rest of the Tiddly Inks team.  Don't Worry, you'll be glad that you did!

The Sweet Stop Sketch #210

Good morning friends, Happy, Happy Saturday!  Hope you have had a great week and can now take a few moments to enjoy the weekend!  Here in the U.S. we will be celebrating Mother's Day tomorrow, so I would love to give a shout out to all of the wonderful women in my life who I am proud to know and who have been such a great influence.  Of course, I am most grateful for my mother who I couldn't have gotten to this point in my life without!

This week at The Sweet Stop we have a new sketch for you.  It's one of those rare sketches that I have chosen to create without an image.  Rare, I know, I simply love my copic markers and my images, but it pays to be different every now and then.

Here's our sketch for this week, Sketch #210.

Here's my take on this week's sketch.

Materials Used:
Wild Orchid Flowers
Prima Flowers
Pearls

Now it's your turn!  Use our sketch to create your own card and link it up to our blog.  Don't forget to check out the fabulous projects by the rest of the Sugar Babies while you are there!
