The Sweet Stop Sketch #230

Good morning everyone, Happy, Happy Saturday!  I sure am glad the weekend is here!  And with the weekend, and Saturday, we have a new sketch and a new challenge for you at The Sweet Stop.  This week we are up to sketch #230.  For my card this week I decided to start with some holiday projects.  I used the Mo's digital image, North Pole Employee #5533 or #3355.  I actually colored this guy up last year but never got around to using it, so here he is now.

Here's a look at this week's sketch.

And here's my card using this sketch.  This week I turned the sketch around to go in a different direction.  I don't normally do that but I thought the card would look better this way.

Materials Used:
Copic Markers
Button
Candy Pebbles Embellishments

Now it's your turn to play along.  Follow our sketch and link it up to the blog.  I'm always amazed at all the variations that can be created from one sketch.  And, of course the rest of the Sugar Babies have outdone themselves to create some amazing projects to inspire you.  I hope you can take an extra trip by the challenge blog to check them out.
Enjoy the rest of your Saturday!

Tiddly Inks Fabulous Inky Friday

Good morning everyone, T - G - I - F!  Welcome to Friday, for me this was the type of week where I never thought I was going to make, ever!  And, since it is only Friday morning it's still up in the air for me, I'm hoping to be functioning by the end of the day.  I know we all have crazy weeks, it just seems to be the way of the world lately, but this was one of those for the record books.  You know, those weeks where you feel like so much weight is placed upon your shoulders you can barely move.  Yup, that's been my week in a nutshell!

I do want to give a shout out to my kindergartners though, they took four long, difficult pre-tests this week and they handled it very well!  Way to go boys and girls!

Today at Tiddly Inks it is Fabulous Inky Friday for the Design team.  For my project today I've used one of Christy's newer images, Thanks a Latte.  I love this image, I know of a few friends I would love to send this card, it's just choosing which one.  In fact, I've been trying to get to have some coffee with a few friends, but I just can't seem to find a day to do so.  Maybe some day..........

Materials Used:
Copic Markers
SU Sentiment Stamp
SU Circle and Scalloped Circle Punch
Wild Orchid Flowers
Prima Swirled Pearl and Crystal Embellishments
Cheery Lynn Doily die
MS Border Punch
MS Frond Punch

As always, the rest of the design team also have projects to share with you.  They are of course super amazing, so I hope you can take a moment to stop by the Tiddly Inks blog to check them out!
Have a Fabulous Friday!

MarkerPop - Falling For You

Good morning everyone!  How are you on this Monday?  I really can't believe Monday is here again.  I left my hubby and kids this weekend for a training and it was so strange to be away from home without them.  We are always together and I'm not used to being on my own in any capacity.  I thought I would enjoy a little quiet time without being needed constantly, which I did but I missed them terribly more than I enjoyed the quiet.  Goes to show you what you think you want may not be really what you want.  Needless to say I returned home last evening and was happy to see their faces!

Today I am sharing with you a card I made for the new challenge at MarkerPop.  Our challenge this time is Falling For You, make a fall themed card.  So, make your fall themed card and then link it up to our blog.  For my Fall Themed Card I used the Whimsy Stamps, Elisabeth Bell image, Apple Blossom.

Materials Used:
Wild Orchid Flowers
Marianne Designs Flourish die
Vintage Photo Distress Ink Pad

I hope you have the time to play along with our challenge this time around.  Enjoy the rest of your Monday!

The Sweet Stop Sketch #229

Hi all, a quick post for me this morning as I am fifteen minutes away from leaving for the next few days.  Today at The Sweet Stop we have a new sketch for you and it is a sketch with a twist, School Time!  We all know it's time for our favorite school time stamps to be used so dig them out and play along.

Here's our sketch for this week.

And here's my take on the sketch.

The stamp is a Sweet and Sassy stamp, School Girl Sally. Also, don't forgot to check out the cards by the rest of the Sugar Babies.  They sure are some talented ladies!

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

MarkerPop "Book Worm" Gift Box

Good morning everyone!  Happy, happy Thursday!  I am enjoying the absolutely gorgeous fall days and am settling back into my work routine.  I have to say I am more exhausted then I was on summer vacation, but I do enjoy have a set routine.  Besides, I love teaching and enjoy working with my kindergartners each year.

Today I have a project to share with you using the Little Darlings image, Lisbeth Book Worm.  I am somewhat of a book worm myself and I always hope to inspire my kindergartners to be the same.  I think my back to work routine, and my enjoyment of reading to my class, has put me in a reading themed mood.  I have created several reading themed projects lately.  I thought today's project might be good to put a small book or  journal in to give as a gift.

Materials Used:
Copic Markers
Wild Orchid Flowers
Spellbinder's dies
Stickles
EK Success Punch

I adhered patterned paper to the inside of the box as well to give it a more finished look.

Not my best photographs of the project today, but some days are just like that, ya know.  I just couldn't get the pictures to look just right, or even close to right.

Enjoy the rest of your Thursday!  Remember, tomorrow is our T-G-I-F day!

Hi everyone, I am back for my third post of the day.  That's right, three today.  Absolutely amazing if you ask me.  Two in one day is an accomplishment and three is a downright miracle.  So for my third post of the day I am sharing with you a card using the I Brake For Stamps image, Celestial Fairy.  I colored this sweet image using pinks and this cutie certainly is pretty in pink.

Materials Used:
Copic Markers

Cheery Lynn flourish die
MS Border punch
MS Frond Punch
Spellbinder's Oval and Scalloped Oval die

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Boitatou and a Baby Butterfly Fairy

Gift boxes are always so hard to come by, especially when you need them.  Of course I have the customary gift boxes that you save at Christmas, or when you get a special gift from someone else, but sometimes it is nice to have that special something that makes the gift itself even more spectacular.  That's what I have tried to create today using a Boitatou box and The Mo's Digital pencil image, Baby Butterfly Fairy.

Materials Used:
Copic Markers
Stickles
MS Decorative Circle Cutter
Cheery Lynn Designs die
Wild Orchid Flowers
Pearls
Tea Dye Distress Ink Pad

I think this box would make a lovely gift by itself as well.  It's the prefect size to sit on a dresser or table to put some trinkets or other small items inside.

Tiddly Inks - Goodbye

Good morning everyone, Happy Tuesday!  We are enjoying some wonderful crisp, cool weather here in the northeast.  At least I am, I love the cool fall weather.  Pretty soon the leaves will be changing color and everything will look amazing.  Until then I am going to enjoy today.

At Tiddly Inks we have a new challenge to share with you.  This time around we want you to make a Goodbye card.  This was a hard one for me.  I had the best Tiddly Inks image but was falling short on the sentiments.  I chose a simple Journey sentiment as we often say goodbye when set out on a journey.  My Tiddly Inks image is Belinda.

Materials Used:
Copic Markers
Wild Orchid Flowers
Unity KOM sentiment stamp
XCut dies
MS Border Punch
EK Success Swirl Punch

Now it's your turn to pick your favorite Tiddly Inks image, create a goodbye card and then play along.  The rest of the Tiddly Inks DT have created the most amazing cards to inspire you.  I hope you can take a moment to stop by the challenge blog and check them out..
Enjoy your Tuesday!

I Brake For Stamps - Cammy Girl

Good morning everyone, how are you on this glorious Tuesday?  I'm off to work with my new class of kindergartners.  We are working on getting into our daily routine and getting to know each other.  Not to mention that we are all getting used to getting up early in the morning and making our way to school.  Now, if you know me you know that the getting up early part isn't a problem for me, I am a morning person.  Getting the rest of the family out of the house, especially my nocturnal teenager, not as much fun.  Keep your fingers crossed that we all get to where we need to go without any major incident.

Today I am sharing a card with you using the Chelsea Le Designs image, Cammy Girl.  I love these sweet Cammy images, as you can probably tell as I have been creating with the a lot lately.  Of course I think spending the day with cute kindergartners has probably put me in the cute mood as well.

Materials Used:
Copic Markers
Wild Orchid Flowers
Prima Flowers
Spellbinder's dies
SU Sentiment Stamp
Marianne Designs dies
MS Border Punch
Pearls

Wishing you a fabulous Tuesday!

MarkerPop - CC Designs: Swiss Pixies Book Abigail

Good morning everyone!  I have to say that this week has gone fast but each day has seemed to be the longest of the year.  A contradiction, I know, but it's just the way I have been feeling each day.  Introducing a classroom routine to a new bunch of kindergartners, half of whom are only four years old, well, it can be exhausting.  Their energy level is so high that it takes all the energy a girl can muster just to try and keep up.  I'm doing it, I'm surviving, but I sure am getting tired along the way.  I wish I could say the little guys were doing better but they are just as tired as I am at the end of the day.  It is a long day for someone so little to have to manage and keep themselves together.  Of course, a little rest is well deserved for us all this weekend and then back at it on Monday.

Today I am sharing a project with you using the CC Designs image, Swiss Pixies Book Abigail.  I always love an image with books, reading being one of my favorite past times, and it is the perfect time to use this image since we have just returned back to school.

Materials Used:
MS Circle Punch Design
Wild Orchid Flowers
Glossy Accents
Spellbinder's dies

Enjoy your Friday!

I Brake For Stamps - Lovable Avi

Hi everyone, back again for my second post of the day.  I wish I could say that I have finished my work day but I think they would like me there for a little more than an hour.  Thank goodness for prescheduling post times, it is a lifesaver.  I sure would be lost without it.

This time around I am posting a project I made using the I Brake For Stamps image, Lovable Avi.  I tried to use fall inspired colors for this card as well.  As I told you, once I am back to school summer is over for me and I am all about fall.  Besides, fall colors can be absolutely breathtaking in the right combination.

There is such a variety of skin tones being used out there in Blogland and pinned on Pinterest I thought I would start playing around myself with a few different skin combinations here and there.  For Avi I used E55, E53, E51, E50, E000.  I think it looks pretty good on her, especially with the darker hair.    I'm still partial to my typical colors, but a little experimenting never hurt.

Materials Used:
Copic Markers
Spellbinder's dies
EK Success Punch
Wild orchid Flowers
Pearls
Diamond Stickles
Glossy Accents

I hope I've gotten you in the fall mood today, especially if you've been dealing with the humidity as we have been here in the northeast.
Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday!

Tiddly Inks Tuesday - Thank You

Good morning everyone, as you are reading this I am on my way back to work.  It's the end of summer for me, even though the weather is still warm and the sun is still shining, I am on my way back to reality.  These first few days are always the toughest.  Today I will be meeting many of my kindergartners and their parents for the first time in our Open House and then on Wednesday I will have them all to myself.  Luckily I will have an aide for a good part of the day because the kids will be just as anxious as I am.  By Friday I will be passed out and catching up so I can start again, as I am sure the kids will as well.  It's a long day for a kindergartner, but I am looking forward to getting to know all of them.

Today at Tiddly Inks we have a new challenge starting for you.  This time around our challenge is Thank You. Color up your favorite Tiddly Inks image and create a Thank You inspired project.  I really love the DT samples today, and every new challenge day, as there are some really great cards but we have some other Thank You inspired creations as well.  I hope you can hop on by to be inspired by all their crafty goodness.

For my project today I used the Tiddly Inks image, Wryn in the Fall.  I have loved this image from it's debut and since I am sooooo ready for the fall weather to arrive I thought it would be great for my sample today.  I love summer but when it is time to be over, I am done with it!  Goodbye warm weather and humidity, hello brisk mornings, warm days and cool evenings.  Awwww, you gotta love fall!

Materials Used:
Copic Markers
Wild Orchid Flowers
MS Frond Punch
Spellbinder's dies
Marianne Designs dies
Pearls

Now it's your turn, create your Tiddly Inks Thank You project and link it up to our blog!  I can't wait to see what you create!
Have a great Tuesday!
