I Brake For Stamps - Freak Out Freddie

I love the name of the stamp I used today, Freak Out Freddie.  What a fun name for a stamp, don't you think.  This image is a digital image that can be found at the I Brake for Stamps store.  Actually, it's a series of images and, although this guy is my first, I can see myself getting a few more of these adorable images.

For my project today I made another little note pad.  I am trying to slowly stock up on my handmade gifts for family and friends.  Usually I am trying to pull things together just before Christmas, at least in the handmade department, so I am trying to get ahead to save my sanity.  I am actually doing pretty well on Christmas shopping in the store bought department as well, especially for the kids.  I just keep telling myself, slow and steady wins the race.  No last minute shopping for me.

Materials Used:
Copic Markers
MS Large Border Punch
Glossy Accents
Pearls

Well, that's all for me today.  I'm off to school to have some fun with my kindergartners.  I hope you all have a fabulous Tuesday!

Markerpop, Whimsy Stamps and Silver Fairy

Hi everyone, I am back for my second post of the day.  This time I am posting a project I made for MarkerPop using the Whimsy Stamps image, Silver Fairy.  This is one of my most favorite images and I used one of my most favorite color combinations as well.  I didn't make a card today though, this time I am posting for MarkerPop's Anything But a Card category, so that's what I did.  I made another art journal.  I really have a soft spot for making these journals and I have a specific purpose in mind for this one.  I want to take the month of November and write, doodle, draw once a day about something I am thankful for.  Now, this is a pretty big dream for a girl like me who is constantly on the go, but I plan on making every best effort to keeping up with this promise I have made to myself.

To achieve that darker blue color I used the colors C9, B39, B37, B34, B32.

Copic Markers
Cheery Lynn Flourish die

Enjoy the rest of your Saturday and the rest of your weekend everyone.

Tiddly Inks Fabulous Inky Friday

Hello everyone, TGIF!  Each week I seem to breath a larger and larger sigh when Friday comes around.  Wow, the craziness of this year is just incredible, some days I think I forget to breathe.  Really.  I have to say that I am grateful to have my wonderful husband to be traveling this windy road with and a great support system for those days when I feel like I just need to break down.  Thanks to God for all he has given me.

Today is Fabulous Inky Friday at Tiddly Inks.  This is the day when we get to use one of Christy's fabulous images and create a project of our choosing.  For my project today I used the image Wizardette and created a card.  I didn't intend for it to be a Halloween card but I used Halloween/Fall colors.  I guess that's just what happens this time of year.

Materials Used:
Copic Markers
Wild Orchid Flowers
Glossy Accents
MS Frond Punch
Spellbinder's die

Well, that's it for me this Friday.  I am off to a teacher's conference day at school.  All my students are home in their nice warm, cozy beds and I am off to hang out with fellow teacher's for the day.  Oh, and don't forget to take a moment to stop by the Tiddly Inks blog to check out the fabulous projects by the rest of the Tiddly Inks DT!

I Brake for Stamps - Ipod Hailee

Good morning everyone, today I have a project to share with you using the I Brake for Stamps digital image, Ipod Hailee.  This image immediately made me think of my teenage daughter, especially since she often has headphones on as she listens to her music, LOUDLY.  I decided to make a journal for her as a Christmas gift.  She likes to write and often writes down song lyrics, so it seemed like a perfect combination.

Materials Used:
Copic Markers
Spellbinder's dies
Pearls
Wild Orchid Flowers
MS Frond Punch
MS Rose Leaf Punch
Book Rings

Enjoy your Tuesday everyone!

MarkerPop and Wild Rose Studio

Hi everyone!  Today I have an easel card to share with you using the Wild Rose Studio image, Emily and Cat.  I found this adorable duo at the Markerpop store and you can find this stamp, and many more, here as well.  I'm new to the Wild Rose Studio line of stamps myself but so far I find them absolutely heartwarming and adorable.  Don't take my word for it, take a look for yourself.

Sweet, huh?  I love orange kitties, so of course I had to color this sweet one using an orange combination of copic markers, YR18, YR07, YR04 and YR01.

I Brake for Stamps - Sweet Little Witch Cammy

Hi all, I'm back for my second post of the day.  This time with a project using an image from I Brake for Stamps, Sweet Little Witch Cammy.  I also used another background for this one, this time a cute cottage from Saturated Canary.  I though this cottage would be a nice addition to the Chelsea Le Designs stamp as she looks as she is sitting.  I'll let you be the judge, but remember, I am just starting to play around with coloring background images.  I am still new at putting a background and an image together.

Materials Used:
Copic Markers
MS Border Punches
Black Rhinestones
Glossy Accents
Stickles

Well, this is the final post for me today.  I'm back to work after a nice long weekend.  It wasn't restful, but it was good as I was able to catch up on a lot of much needed work around the house.  I hope you enjoy the rest of your day!

Tiddly Inks - Halloween Creepy Cute

Howdy all, today at Tiddly Inks we have a new challenge to share with you!  And, it's a great fall themed challenge, Halloween Creepy Cute.  For my project today I used the adorable Tiddly Inks image, Batty Bugg.  This is an older image that Christy brought back to the store and boy, I sure am glad that she did.  I also added a background to my card from Make it Crafty.  I'm still such an amateur at backgrounds, especially compared to my DT colleagues at Tiddly Inks, but a girl has to start somewhere.

Materials Used:
Copic Markers
Spellbinder's label die
Halloween Buttons
Crystal Embellishments

Well, I hope you can find the time to play along with this one, I know I had fun coming up with my project this week.  Don't forget if you do play along to use a Tiddly Inks image on your project.  Looking for a little more inspiration, take a stop by the challenge blog to check out the amazing projects by the other members of the Tiddly Inks DT.
Enjoy your Tuesday!

The Sweet Stop Sketch #232

As I am beginning to write this post I'm watching the most heartwarming scene in my living room.  My boys (hubby and my son) are sitting on the floor playing with the little guys trains.  They had the best tunnel set up over his Thomas the Train track and he knocked it down "by accident".  Now they have to sit and rebuild it again, which is my sons way of getting daddy to stay and play with him.  Of course, it isn't very hard, daddy takes time every day to play with our boy and I LOVE to watch.  These are the things that memories are made of and I know our son will have fond memories of his time playing with daddy.  Of course, one of our cats had to get in on the fun as well and kept laying right in front of Spencer every time he tried to build the track.  Talk about wanting some attention, geesh.

Today we have a new sketch for you at The Sweet Stop.  This week is sketch #232 and for my card I used the Mo's Digital Pencil image, end of Summer.  This image fit nicely on the card and worked well with this week's sketch.  Let's take a peek at the sketch for this week.

And, here is my card and my take on this week's sketch.

Materials Used:
Copic Markers
Glossy Accents
MS Border Punch
Magnolia Doohickey die
Fiskars Flower Punches
Pearls

I'm off to run some errands and enjoy some family time today.  I'm hoping for good weather to start getting some winterizing done as well.  Hubby usually does it alone but we have been so overwhelmed this fall he is going to need a little help.  Besides, a lot of what needs to be done is my flowers and flower pots anyway.

Don't forget to stop by the challenge blog and check out the fabulous projects created by the rest of the Sugar Babies.

Enjoy the rest of your Saturday!

Tiddly Inks Fabulous Friday Post

Good morning everyone, TGIF!  We had a nice surprise this school year and have an extra long weekend for Columbus Day and subsequently have tomorrow off.  Since the start of school year has been so crazy and hectic a little extra time to catch up on things around the house is much appreciated.  My craft space is piling up with mess and my shoes are in a pile as well in front of my closet door, much to hubby's unhappiness.  AND, it's time to switch from spring/summer clothes to fall/winter clothes.  Of course, a little extra crafting time is appreciated as well.

Today at Tiddly Inks we have our Fabulous Friday projects to share with all of you.  For my Fabulous Friday project I used the Tiddly Inks image, Be My Mummy.  I've made another milk carton, this time I got the folds a little better.  A few more and I may actually feel like I know what I am doing.

Materials Used:
Copic Markers
MS Spider Web Border
Black Rhinestone embellishments

Well, I'm off to accomplish some things around the house, wish me luck!  A little cuddle time with my little guy is in the plans for today as well!  I hope you can take a few extra moments to stop by the Tiddly Inks challenge blog to check out the amazing projects by the rest of the team!

Fall Boitatou

Good morning everyone, Happy Hump day!  I am starting to get the image of that silly camel in my head whenever this day comes around.  I didn't when I first started seeing the commercial, but now on Wednesdays I see it posted all over Facebook and I can't seem to get it out of my mind.  Of course the better imagery is the thought that we have passed the middle of the week and it is all down hill from here.  This fall has been knocking me for a loop and I am so happy when I finally see Friday come around.

Today I am posting a project using a Boitaou box.  Of course, since I am really into the fall theme at the moment, my project has a fall theme.  I am pretty excited about the Boitatou box because I love the image I used and I played around with some mixed media materials, paints, stamps, etc., and made some paper to go along with my project today.  I used some great fall oranges and browns.  I'm still learning and playing, but it was a lot of fun, especially for a girl like me who HATES to get messy.  Paints aren't always my number one material to use but I am slowly changing that philosophy.

The image in my project is the Mo's Digital Pencil image, Elke and Bear.  This is a great fall image and an adorable image as well.

A front view.

The inside of the box when it is opened.

Materials Used:
Copic Markers
Cheery Lynn Designs die
XCut Parenthesis die
Wild Orchid Flowers

Well, enjoy the rest of this downhill day!

I Brake For Stamps - Little Kitten Cammy

Hi all, today I have another fall project to share with you, this time a Halloween themed project.  For my project I used the I Brake For Stamps image, Little Kitten Cammy.  This cutie is all dressed up for Halloween and just as adorable as can be.  I made a milk carton for the first time as well.  I thought this would be a cute candy holder for a Halloween treat.  Keep in mind I have a slight learning curve as it is my first attempt at a milk carton.

Materials Used:
Copic Markers
Black Cat Cougar Cutter
MS Web Border Punch
MS Frond Punch
Crystal Embellishements
Wild Orchid Flowers

Have a fabulous rest of your Tuesday everyone!
