Tiddly Inks Fabulous Friday

Hi everyone, T-G-I-F for sure this week!  I am spent and in much need of the weekend.  Appointments, meetings, work, kids, life, you know how it goes.  This week it caught up with me in a very real and exhausting way.  I am hoping to recover this weekend so I can do it all over again next week.  A little R&R this weekend, crafting and a nice beading sale that I am going to with my sister-in-law.  I have gotten back into the hobby of jewelry making and this time I am trying out all the fabulous stitches there are for beads.  Currently my mornings before work I spend coloring and when my weeks aren't quite so crazy I spend a little time after dinner making jewelry with my beads.  Not so much this week, but anytime I get a chance.

Today is Fabulous Friday at Tiddly Inks and I made a card for you using the Tiddly Inks image, Hippie Chick.  I always try to match people with an image, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.  This particular image/project is a card for my daughter's seventeenth birthday in March.  It's hard to believe that it's been almost seventeen years since she entered my world.  Seriously, where does the time go?

I know the colors are a little bold and out there but my daughter's two favorite colors at the moment are lime green and purple.  Also, I tried to sew on my card again, definitely not my thing.  Sewing always work so much better when I am sewing inside the seam and you can't see how crooked my stitch is.  Much more practice is needed for sure.

Well, that's it for me this Friday.  Have a great rest of the day!

Boitaou - I Heart Winter

Well, Tuesdays tend to be a busy day around my blog and I am back with my second post for the day.  Today I used the Magnolia image, Tilda with Snow Heart, on my Boitatou box.  I decided to use the colors red and black because, well I like those colors, but since Tilda is holding a heart I thought this box could be used for Valentine's Day.  It would be a great box to fit some delicious chocolates in, don't you think?

Materials Used:
Copic Markers
Spellbinder's dies
Cheery Lynn Designs dies
Memory Box dies ( I LOVE my dies)
SU Scalloped Border Punch
MS Snowflake Punch
Wild Orchid Flowers

I'm off, work and all.  Enjoy your Tuesday and the rest of your week!

Tiddly Inks Tuesday - Tags

Happy Tuesday everyone!  We had a day off here in the U.S. to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday yesterday and so today is the first day of my work week.  Hooray for three day weekends!  It was nice to have the extra day off to catch up on things around the house and also catch up in general.  Hubby just came back into town on Saturday evening, after being away for a week, so we caught up on some family time as well.  BUT, all good things must come to an end and so now the work week must  begin.

With the beginning of my work week is a new challenge for you at Tiddly Inks.  This week we are having a tag challenge and we would love for you to use your favorite Tiddly Inks image and play along.  For my tag I decided to make a non-traditional shape and created a circle tag.  I used the Tiddly Inkimage, Catch My Heart and a Heart Flower Border that I have had for awhile.

Materials Used:
Copic Markers
Stickles
Spellbinder's dies
Ribbon
Glossy Accents

Of course the rest of the Tiddly Inks Design Team have the most amazing tags to share with you.  Please tale a moment to stop by the challenge blog to check them out!
Enjoy your Tuesday!

Tiddly Inks Fabulous Inky Friday

Good morning everyone on this beautiful Friday!  We have had a long week at my house, hubby has been away all week and it has just been the kids and I.  He doesn't normally travel without us, so that part is hard enough, but we have had some nuisancy weather as well that would normally be my husbands job to take care and so of course, fell to me.  Needless to say we will be very happy when he returns tomorrow.

I know it has been awhile since my last post but I have had to cut back, just a little, to get my bearings, recharge my mojo and give myself a little break from the blog.  Not to worry, I am not going anywhere, I love my papercrafts, but I have had a lot of work to do and have been playing around with a few of my other craft interests, at least for now.  I'll still be posting at least once a week but not as often as I was.  Once spring is here I hope to be back up to posting more often.

For today's Fabulous Inky Friday post I have made a card using the Tiddly Inks image, Cat Fever.  I used different color greens on my card and I plan to give it to my aunt for her birthday.  She has a soft spot for Siamese cats, well cats in general, and anytime I see them they always make me think of her.

Materials Used:
Copic Markers
Spellbinder's Oval dies
Wild Orchid Flowers
Rhinestones
MS Frond Punch
SU Sentiment Punch

Well, I hope you enjoy the rest of your Friday.  Please stop by the Tiddly Inks blog to see the fabulous projects created by the rest of the DT.

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Boitatou and Some Bling

Hi everyone, I'm back already for my second post of 2014.  This time I am sharing with you a project using a Boitatou Box and a Sweat Pea Stamps image.  If you have never seen a Boitatou Box, you should check them out.  They are great to embellish and create with and they have many other uses as well.  I used several at Christmas time to put gifts in but the box themselves were part of the gift as I embellished the look of the box as well.  Today's project isn't any different and would be perfect all on it's own or part of a gift.

The Sweat Pea Stamps image I used is Birds of Paradise.  As I said in my earlier post I have really evolved as a card maker.  When I first started working with stamps I never would have chosen this image and now I love this style and have several of Ching Chu Kuik's images.  They really add a wow factor to any project I have added them to.

Materials Used:
Copic Markers
Heat Set Rhinestones
Memory Box Butterfly die
Spellbinder's Embellished Circle die
Cheery Lynn Designs Doily die
Wild Orchid Flowers
Floral "Bling"
MS Butterfly Punches
Pearls
Glossy Accents

I think I am off to a good start for 2014 and hope you are too!  No stressing about New Year's Resolutions for me because I never make them.  What I always hope for is that this year is better than the last with love and health for all.  I can't wait to see what this year brings!
Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday!

Tiddly Inks Tuesday - Clean and Simple

Good morning everyone, Happy 2014!  After a wonderful holiday break we are back at Tiddly Inks with a new challenge for all of you.  Our first challenge for 2014 is Clean and Simple.  Some of you are probably raring to go while others are cringing at the thought of leaving some of those embellishments behind for this one.  I feel your pain, I do, I have evolved from the Clean and Simple card maker to a girl who likes a little bling myself.  Take heart, you can do it, I have faith in you creating the most stunning cards using Christys fabulous Tiddly Inks images!

For me I went with a boy image, My Super Boy.  I always find it easier to create CAS cards with boy images as boys don't usually go for all that bling anyway.  This card is going to be saved for my nephew's birthday on March first.  His name is Logan, which is why I added an L to the little guy's shirt.  He has a daddy(my brother) who likes superheroes and dad has immersed him in all things superhero.  Besides, I already have my brother's card as well which is Christy's other cute superhero image, My Batty Hero.

Now, I am not 100% happy with the look of this card.  Hubby got me a nice new little sewing machine for Christmas that I want to use for my cards only.  I love how sewing on cards looks and I've been wanting to give it a try, but not with my machine that I use for fabric.  Well, it's a lot easier to sew a hidden seam than one that you will see, hence the crooked lines.  I have a little practice to do on this one, including on working on matching my thread to my cards.

Materials Used:
Copic Markers
Unity KOM Sentiment
Prima Embellishements
SU Circle and Scalloped circle punch

If you are still stressing about creating a CAS card then I know where you can get a little more inspiration, and that is from the rest of the Tiddly Inks team of course.  Those ladies are always spot on with their creations and you will enjoy what you see when you take time to stop by the challenge blog to check them out.  Me, I am back to reality after a two week vacation and off to work, yuck.  I love my job but in the winter it is much more cozy and fun to stay inside and play with all of my crafting tools and toys!

Have a great Tuesday everyone!
