Tiddly Inks Fabulous Inky Friday

Hi everyone, I'm a little late with this post, but I guess better late than never.  It's been monster of a week and there were a few times that I wasn't sure if I was going to make it through it.  One bad week down and I am hoping for one good weekend to go!  I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a little R&R and a little sanity before the week starts again!

For my project this Friday for Tiddly Inks I used the absolutely adorable image, Annie's Bear.  I've always loved Christy's Annie character and this one is becoming one of my favorites as well.  AND, right now it is a freebie in the store, how can you pass that up?

Materials Used:
Copic Markers
Spellbinder's dies
Glossy Accents
Marianne Designs dies
Wild Orchid Flowers

Well, I'm off to crash for the night and try to catch up on some rest, some much needed rest.  I hope you all have a nice relaxing weekend as well.  If you have a few extra moments to stop by the challenge blog as well to see the rest of the design teams fabulous projects.  Trust me, you'll be glad that you did!

Tiddly Inks Tuesday - A Birthday Card

Hi everyone, it's Tuesday and time for a new challenge over at Tiddly Inks!  This time around we have a birthday theme and hope you will play along.  For my project I used the Tiddly Inks image, Little So and So.  It's a birthday card on top of a cute set of drawers, a Pinterest find I just had to try.  Here's where I found the original idea, but I tweaked mine a little bit.

I love making the drawers and think they make such a great project but I always have such a hard time getting them to move in and out smoothly.  I either make them too tight or too loose.  Maybe some day I'll get them right, but these look cute all the same.  The card on top is an easel card so it can stand and be seen while the drawers are in use.

Materials Used:
Copic Markers
Spellbinder's Dies
Unity KOM Sentiment Stamp
Brads
SU Circle Punch
EK Success Scalloped Punch

I hope you are inspired to play along, but if you need a little further coaxing than stop on by the challenge blog to see the super amazing projects created for you by the rest of the Tiddly Inks Design Team.  They really are a talented bunch of ladies!
Enjoy your Tuesday everyone!

Tiddly Inks Fabulous Inky Friday

Hi everyone, I hope you are staying warm during this never ending winter.  We are dealing with another round of snow and ice and cold and, well, just plain yuck.  Bring on the spring!  And, with spring in mind I am sharing with you my project for Fabulous Inky Friday at Tiddly Inks!  It fittingly uses the image, Ellie says Be Happy.  It is a small clipboard that I made into a hanging notepad and it has nice bright spring colors.  I've been a little bit sick of the cards lately so I've playing around with some different projects.  It's nice to change things up every once in awhile.

Materials Used:
Copic Markers
Clipboard (from Staples)
Notepad
Prima Flower
Fiskars Flower Petal Punch

Of course my fellow DT teamies at Tiddly Inks have created the most amazing projects to share with you as well.  I hope you can take the time to stop by and check them out at the challenge blog.  I'm sure they'll inspire you!
Have a great Friday and a Wonderful Weekend everyone!
Stay warm and dry!

Tiddly Inks Tuesday - Green

Well, it's Tuesday and you know what that means, a new post for you at Tiddly Inks.  This time around our challenge is green, make something using one of your favorite Tiddly Inks images and the color green.  For my project today I used two of Christy's amazing images, Be Bold Ballerina and Tiny Dancer.  I am at the beginning of a dance album I'm going to make (I'm hoping it will be a surprise for one of my family members that looks at my blog) using nothing but dance images.  Since I know that the recipient's favorite color is green this challenge just naturally lent itself to my project.

My photos are of the cover, this is where I used the Be Bold Ballerina image, and the first inside page is where I added the Tiny Dancer image.  I haven't added any photos yet, but I will.  Hopefully before I actually want to finish it.  I've gotten myself knee deep into several large projects at the moment.

This is what the cover looks like.

And here's the first page, minus the picture(s) I hope to add.

Materials Used:
Copic Markers
Wild Orchid Flowers
Cheery Lynn Designs dies
MS Double Border Punch
Stickles
Pearls
7 Gypsies Book rings

Of course the rest of the Tiddly Inks DT have created projects to share with you as well, I hope you have a moment to check them out, they simply are fabulous!  Can't wait to see what you create!
Enjoy your Tuesday everyone!

Tubular Herringbone Necklace and Earrings

Hi everyone!  I am back with another fun jewelry project today.  I am totally hooked on these projects, but they do take me forever.  Today's set I made for myself and the idea came from a single bead.  On one of my MANY trips to JoAnn I discovered these totally awesome beads that just sparkle and shine.  I just LOVE sparkle and shine.  Soooo, of course I bought one.  Well, then I thought, hey I could make earrings, a bracelet ( I'm still working on that one), my mind was on overdrive.  So, with my coupons, some sales, I got the beads I needed and then very slowly my jewelry was born.  If only I didn't have to work to pay the bills, then maybe I'd have a little more time for some crafty fun!  Right now I am working on a bracelet using superduo beads, LOVE THEM.  I will be happy to show you my finished project when I actually get there.

The necklace is made using the tubular herringbone stitch and a little brick stitch at each end (you don't see that in the picture).  The pendant is made using brick stitch with peyote being used to attach the pendant to the necklace.  I used mostly black Delica seed beads, size 11, with some silver in there as well.  The pendant uses crystals and my super favorite bead as well.

Here's a little closer look at the pendant on the necklace.  The earring pendants don't have so many rows.   Sorry for the bad picture, I really need to work on that.

Okay, that's it for today.  Don't worry, I'll be back with some super fun paper projects as well.  I could never give up playing with my paper, I love it too much!
Enjoy your Sunday evening!
