Tiddly Inks Tuesday - Pastels

Good morning everyone!  After a beautiful, warm, long weekend I have a new post for you from Tiddly Inks.  Today we are starting a new challenge and this time around it is to use pastels.  I love pastel colors, they have such a soft, happy feeling, but I have such a difficult time coloring them.  I love how deep and rich copic markers can be and using only a little bit of color to create that pastel effect turns out to be quite hard.  I'm not sure I quite accomplished it, but I gave it a try.

Today's card uses the Tiddly Inks image, Wryn - Sunny Day.  This is a newer release from Christy and she is just super adorable.

I've had this floral Spellbinder die FOREVER and after I started coloring Wryn I thought it would work great for this project.  I love the way it turned out, just perfect for this Wryn!

Materials Used:
Copic Markers
Spellbinder's dies
Memory Box dies
Wild Orchid Flowers
Stickles
MS Frond Punch

Of course we want you to play along with us.  Hope on by the challenge blog, check out the amazing projects created by the rest of the design team and then pick your favorite Tiddly Inks image to play along!  Need an image, Christy has plenty to choose from and some fabulous new ones as well.
Enjoy your Tuesday!

Ribbon Dance Tilda

Hi everyone, Happy Saturday!  Today I am sharing a project with you using the Magnolia image, Ribbon Dance Tilda.  I was lucky to be asked to be a Guest DT for MarkerPop this month and you will find a post of this project on their blog as well.

This card was another for a dance recital, this time my sister.  She is a  dance teacher and dancer at the studio so this is a little end of the year card for her.  I wish I could move my body like she does, that girl is just plain awesome!

Materials Used:
Copic Markers
Wild Orchid Flowers
Marianne Designs die
Memory Box die
Spellbinder's dies
MS Frond Punch

This cutie is colored in green because green is my sister's favorite color.  I decided to try and give her auburn hair because that is about what my sister's hair is, at least is was auburn when we were kids.  It's amazing how your hair color changes as you get older, mine has gotten a lot darker than it used to be!

I hope you all are enjoying your weekend.  This weekend is Memorial Day here in the United States.  We take the time to honor all of those who willingly sacrificed their lives so that we could feel safe and I thank them for that!

Fabulous Inky Friday

Hi everyone, today is Fabulous Inky Friday with the Design Team at Tiddly Inks.  For my project today I am sharing a card using the Tiddly Inks image, Fluttering by to Say Hi

I'm not so thrilled with how her face came out.  I tried to define her face a little and the nose area went awry.  The face just isn't my forte, I need to work on it.

Materials Used:
Copic Markers
Wild Orchid Flowers
Pearl Border
Stickles
MS Frond Punch
Spellbinder's Dies

That's it for me today but the other Tiddly Inks DT members have created the most fabulous projects for all of you.  I hope you can take a moment to stop by and check out their projects.
Enjoy the rest of your Friday!

Tiddly Inks Tuesday - Head in the Clouds

Good morning everyone, Happy Tuesday!  We are finally seeing some gorgeous spring weather in our neck of the woods and I am enjoying it.  A perfect day for our Head in the Clouds challenge at Tiddly Inks.  I always seem to want to just sit and enjoy the days when this weather first arrives.  I guess you could say that my head was in the clouds and some days that is where it needs to be.

For my project today I used the Tiddly Inks image, Cloud 9.  Perfect, right.  I am not an outside of the box thinker so this image was just right for me.  If you want to see some really creative ideas for this challenge check out the cards from my fellow DT members.  They really know how to rock a challenge.

This card was my first attempt at an airbrushed background.  My teammates always have such lovely cloud backgrounds that I wanted to give it a try.  I had a few glitches here and there when trying to use my airbrush, but I don't think it was too bad for my first try.

Materials Used:
Copic Markers
Airbrush
Fiskars Cloud Punch
Pearls

Well, you know how it goes, now it is your turn to play along.  Find your favorite Tiddly Inks image and create a card that fits into this weeks challenge!  We love to see what you create!
Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday!

Happy Mother's Day!

Hi everyone, just a quick post to share what I have been working on.  Today's cards are many of the ones I gave away to family for Mother's Day.  I am very blessed to have my mother, both of my grandmother's and two mother-in-laws, as my husband has his mother and his step-mother.  Of course I had to give them all hand made cards, I feel like such a traitor if I even think of buying a card from the store, I shudder even thinking of it!:)

Today was also First Communion for my Godson AND his birthday!  What a busy and special day.  I made him a card for his First communion and that is below as well.  This card is CAS but I think it is the right touch for this special day.

All the images below are from Mo's Digital Pencil.  The images I used are Bunches, Helena and Henry, Sorry Shanna and First Communion Boy.

We have had the most beautiful weather this weekend and the family and I have have been enjoying it.  A trip to the playground for our little guy yesterday (after I visited a bead store, part of my Mother's Day gift) and then a little time outside today.  You couldn't ask for a better day for Mother's Day!  I am hoping that you all were able to enjoy your weekend as well!  Happy Mother's Day to everyone!

Tiddly Inks Fabulous Inky Friday

Hi everyone, it's been a little while since I have posted.  It's been a busy few weeks and I just haven't had a minute to spare.  We had a big 60th birthday party for my mother a few weeks back and I am still trying to catch up and recuperate from that.  Big parties are not my cup of tea!

Today I am sharing with you a project I made for Fabulous Inky Friday at Tiddly Inks!  Today's card is a card I sent off to my husband's nephew for his birthday.  I still, even after all of this time, struggle with male cards, so it isn't my favorite but I am hoping he will like it.  If only guys liked flowers and a little bling, you know?  It would make giving and making them cards a little easier.

Materials Used:
Copic Markers
MS Double Border Punch
Embellishments

Well, that's it for me today.  I am off to get ready for Mother's day weekend and hopefully finish a few cards for the most amazing mother's, mother-in-laws and grandmothers in my life!

Enjoy your weekend everyone!
