A Few Cards

Hello everyone, I finally had the time this weekend to put a few cards together.  It felt really good and I'm so excited to put them on my blog and share with all of you!!  It must be the beautiful fall weather that has inspired me to take the time to work on cards, instead of just coloring.  I have been on such a role coloring that I haven't taken the time to put any cards together.  Coloring break = new cards.  New cards = crafty mojo!  Woohoo!

The cards that I am sharing with you today use the images, Cheeky Fairy, by The Greeting Farm and Tulipa from Art by Miran.  I was introduced to both of these images by being part of the Kit and Clowder Facebook page.  I have gotten so many great images just by being part of that page, it's really been fun!

This is the image, Tulipa.  Isn't it just the best image?  Art by Miran is an Etsy shop and if you want to find more of her images you can click HERE.

This is of course, Cheeky Fairy.  It was a discounted image so you could play along in a coloring competition in Kit and Clowder.  To my excitement with this one I made the top 3!  You can find this cutie at the The Greeting Farm or by clicking HERE.

Well, I'm off to craft a little more before finishing dinner and working on a little school work.  The end of my night will be beading.  SIGH!  A girl's crafting is never done!

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

Coloring

Well, I haven't posted in a few weeks.  Being on a design team really helped to keep me current and now being back to school has taken all of my time and energy.  Also, I haven't created too many projects as I have been super into my coloring.  Seriously, I haven't even finished my skin and hair class from Kit and Clowder and I can already see the improvement in not just hair and skin, but my overall coloring.  I know I have been talking about these classes in my last few posts but Alyce is just a spectacular teacher and these are the best online classes I have ever taken.  All I want to do is sit and color and then color some more.  I'm slowly getting the motivation to create something from all of this coloring but first I need to take a breath and find a little extra time.

I thought I would share a little bit of what I have been coloring up here in my crafty space.  I've even entered a few challenges on the Kit and Clowder Facebook page.

This first is a Simply Betty Stamp, Devilish Betty.

And this is a Greeting Farm image called Cheeky Fairy.

Well, there's just a little of what I have been doing.  I'll work up some projects really soon to share!  Until then, enjoy your week!

Back to School!

This has been a wild and crazy week for me!  It was my first day back with a new class of kindergartners, my daughter's first day as a senior in high school, gulp, and my son's, my baby's, first day as a kindergartner.  Talk about a whirlwind of emotions and a very exhausting week.  It was also the first day back for several other members of my family as they work in the school system as well.  Sometimes I get the energy to make a little something to give to them for their first day and this year I made a few of those cute little tissue boxes that you can put a travel box of tissues inside.

The images I used on each box are Olympics, from Saturated Canary and On top of the World by Tiddly Inks.  My sister is a Physical Education Teacher so I thought the sports image would be just perfect for her!

I have been working really hard on improving my coloring, especially my hair and skin since that is the class that I am currently taking with Alyce at Kit and Clowder, which I LOVE!  Her classes are so wonderful that I truly hope to continue to take all of her classes until I have finished them all.  These images are colored after part of her hair and skin class.

Materials Used:
Copic Markers
Wild Orchid Flowers
Prima Flowers
Spellbinder's Circle and Scalloped Circle dies
Cheer Lynn Designs Fancicul Flourish die
MS Frond Punch
Pearls

Although it was a hectic and exhausting week it was also a good one as both kids had a good first day of school.  Mine turned out pretty good as well so, all in all, I would call our week a success.  I hope all of you and your children experienced good first days as well!  Now, time to enjoy the weekend!
Have a great Saturday!
