Art by Miran

Today is my second and last card for my GDT spot with Art by Miran on Facebook.  I've enjoyed coloring her beautiful images and making cards out of them.  I wish I had more time to devote to making these images come to life!

For today's card I used the image, Autumn Mindy.  I also used a Fiskars punch to punch out leaves to put around the outside of my card.  I really like this punch and the leaves have a nice delicate look to them.

If you'd like to stop by the challenge it is Anything Goes and you can find it HERE on Facebook.
Enjoy your Friday evening!

Guest Designer - Art by Miran

Since the beginning of the school year I haven't had any affiliations with a company, or design team.  This is something that made me a little sad, but at the same time gave me the opportunity to pursue some of my own desires, such as taking classes at Kit and Clowder or entering a few challenges, mostly on Facebook.  Well, it paid off and I was very excited to be asked to guest design for the Art by Miran Facebook group for the month o November.

I found these wonderful images through Alyce at Kit and Clowder and they truly are gorgeous.  I've really enjoyed coloring them and these images really give you the opportunity to practice your coloring technique.

The image I used is called Princess Snowlake and I tried to make her look as if she were the Snow Queen herself.  I'm not sure I accomplished this look, but she does look ready for winter I think!

The challenge in the Art by Miran group is a winter, non-Christmas project.  Just click HERE if you'd like to stop by and check it out!

Enjoy your Friday!  TGIF!

Day of the Dead

A quick post today as life is still crazy around here and I'm trying to catch up.  Why I think I might be able to do such a thing on daylight savings time weekend, I don't know.  But, I am giving it a try.

Today was All Soul's Day at church and it is Day of the Dead in Mexico.  We had a candle lit this morning for everyone in our congregation who had passed away this past year.  It was sad to think of all those we have lost, but at the same time a beautiful sight to see.

This week I entered a coloring contest on the Kit and Clowder Facebook page to color a Simply Betty Stamps Day of the Dead image, Day of the Dead Alex.  It's a little out of my comfort zone for images, but came out better than I expected.

Well, here she is.  The fruits of my labor for this week!  Hoping for a more productive coloring week this time.  Let's see what next weekend brings!

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!
