Art by Miran - Princess

Good morning everyone!  Happy, happy Saturday!  We have had a week of trials and tribulations when it comes to the weather.  Cold, snow, wind, you name it and we have it.  No big wallop of a storm but a lot of little storms to make you want to pull your hair out.  This is the time of year that I can't wait for spring!!!!!!!

Today I am posting a card using the Art by Miran image, Princess.  This is such a pretty image and I honestly chose her because of her dress and hair.  Such a great opportunity to practice skin, hair and folds AND on such a lovely image.

I colored her using my copic markers and added a little glossy accents to her eyes.  I just love to make those large eyes shine!  If you've been following me long enough you know that images with large eyes are my absolute favorite!  To complete the card I used Wild Orchid flowers, my favorite, Spellbinder's dies, Cheery Lynn Designs dies and Martha Stewart Punches.  The finishing touch was self adhesive pearls, another favorite of mine!

I hope you are all warm, dry and enjoying this lovely Saturday.  I will be off to the grocery store, cleaning some of the house and then onto report cards.  If I'm really lucky I will get some crafting in as well, we shall see!

Saturated Canary - DayDreams

Happy Tuesday everyone!  I am home from school today as we were expected to get walloped with a huge snowstorm.  Mother Nature had other ideas, but once school is closed that is it!  So, here I am,  my second post for this week.  I'm glad to be back on a role and hope that it continues, I love my crafting!

Today I am sharing with you a card I made using the Saturated Canary image, Daydreams.  The card has a Valentine/Love theme, perfect for our next upcoming holiday!

I used copic markers to color the image and Wild Orchid Flowers for my embellishments.  I also used Spellbinder's dies, a Marianne's Designs die and Fiskars and Martha Stewart punches.  Of course I added a little bling as well, she looked like she was daydreaming about sparkles and tiaras!

I hope you are dry and safe on this cold, wet Tuesday!  I don't have any intention of leaving the house AT ALL.  I'm going to do some work at home and then maybe take a few moments to just relax!

Sugar Nellie - Hey Little Birdie

Hi everyone!  It's been awhile, I know, my mojo and I have been having some serious disagreements.  I have been coloring consistently, but I just haven't seen to be able to get my images onto projects.  Luckily, I had a little burst of energy this past week and created a few things, phew!  I was very happy when I had finished and here is the result of one of my projects.

The image is a Sugar Nellie digital image, Hey Little Birdie.  It really is a great stamp and I had just the most wonderful time coloring it!  I made it into an easel card simply because I haven't made an easel card in awhile and I wanted to play around with this style of card again.

Of course the image is colored with my copic markers, I am a complete copic marker addict.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the flourishes are Cheery Lynn Designs dies.  A few Spellbinder's dies in here as well and Martha Stewart punches and you have a card.

I like to share close up of my colored images.  I know they aren't always perfect, but I work so hard on them I thought I would share.

I hope you are enjoying a perfectly wonderful Sunday!

Happy 2015

Happy New Year everyone!  I can't believe it is 2015 already.  Time sure does fly the older you get, I feel like we just celebrated 2014 and, well, blink and 2015 is here already.  To usher in 2015 I am going to share a few cards I made for Christmas this year.  I wasn't as "crafty" as I usually am at Christmas, but I did get a few cards created.

The first card uses a Sugar Nellie digital image, Wish Upon a Star.  I just started using the Sugar Nellie images and I sure do love how cute they are!

The next card uses the Mo's Digital Pencil image, Taste of Winter.  I have to be honest, I colored this image last winter and just never had a moment to put it together on a card.  This year I finally put it to good use!

I hope you all have a very happy, love filled and prosperous new year!  I can't wait to see what 2015 brings!
