Another March Birthday

So, March is the month of birthdays in my house, the latest being my daughter.  This year was a big one with her turning 18, gulp!  I am not ready to have an 18 year old but, unfortunately, time waits for no one!  It will certainly be interesting to see what her 18th year brings.

The card I made for her uses the Mo's digital pencil image, Roxy.  I thought this would be perfect for her as she is always playing around with nail polish and painting her nails.  She appreciated the image on the card the moment she saw it!

I colored the image using my copic markers and used a Spellbinder's die to cut out the edges.  Wild Orchid and Prima flowers were used for the accents, as well as a Maryanne Designs die.  I finished it off with some rhinestone square to add just a little bling.  The dots on her pants were made using a white gel pen.

Well, March is almost over but we do have a few more birthdays to go before then!  Phew, at least there are only two family birthdays in April!

I hope you all have a fabulous Sunday!
Thanks so much for stopping by,

March

Wow, has March been more of a lion than a lamb for us!  Birthdays, birthdays, birthdays and craziness all over the place.  My husband and I are at the point where we don't know if we are coming or going!  Then, of course, spring has definitely not sprung, hmph.  Needless to say I just can't wait for March to be over!

Today I have a card to share with you, it's a card that I made for my nephews birthday.  He is the first of the March birthdays, literally, his birthday is on March 1.  He turned five this year and will be coming to my school next year for kindergarten.  I actually can't wait to be able to see him a little more often.

The card uses the Make It Crafty image, Floppy.  It's really a Christmas image but I thought it would be cute on a card for this little guy.

I used my copic markers to color him and a Spellbinder die for the background shape.  A Martha Stewart punch was used for the star border and Stampin' Up punches were used for the sentiment shapes.  My nephew and brother like super heroes so I thought I would give him Superman colors.

Hope to be back to post BEFORE a month this time.  March is almost over so hopefully all of it's craziness will be leaving as well!
Enjoy your Sunday!
