Catching Up

Hi everyone!  I am back again with the cards I made for all the wonderful women in my life for Mother's Day.  Of course Mother's Day was back in May, but since I didn't post them then I am sharing them with you all now.  This Mother's Day was hard for my family as my grandmother passed away in December.  We all miss her terribly and every day is hard not having her here, but holidays are the worst.

I am still a lucky girl as I am blessed to have my mother, grandmother and mother-in-laws to share this day with.  These are a few of the cards I made for these amazing women.

All of the images I used for these cards are from Tiddly Inks.  The first is an image called Beach Boy.  I know it probably seems strange to have such an image on a Mother's Day card, but I often try to model images close to life and I have a 6 year old that loves to play with grandma, so I thought this image would be perfect for her!

This next image is called Mom and Me and is the card I made for my mother this year.

This last image is called Grace's Wish and was the card I made for my grandmother.  I am blessed to still have remaining grandparents and I always honor them as well on Mother's and Father's Day!  Because it was a Mother's Day card I cut the wings out of this image, but it is simply a beautiful image in its original form.

All the images are colored using copic markers, have Prima and Wild Orchid Flowers and use many punches and dies from my collection.  Mother's Day cards are so much more fun than Father's Day as I can add all the flowers and bling that I like, within reason of course.

I hope you all are having a fabulous Tuesday!

Hi Everyone, Happy Father's Day to all the wonderful dad's out there.  It has been more than a month since I posted my last project, that is quite a long time for me!  Life has been quite crazy, you know how that goes.  Not only has it been finishing up the end of the school year, my little guy guy is finishing his first year of school and my daughter, gulp, is graduating from high school.  That is a lot of emotions for one gal to take in!

My card today uses the Saturated Canary image, Double Take.  I made this card for a bridal shower at school for one of my coworkers back in May.  I used my copic markers to color her, of course, and Prima flowers and a few Spellbinder's dies.  Also, a Fiskars corner punch and a Martha Stewart punch in there.  Punches and metal dies are by far my most favorite materials to use, next to my copics, of course!

I just love this image for Bridal cards.  She really just takes your breath away and isn't that what all brides do when you first see them?!

That's it for me today.  I hope you all have a fabulous Sunday!
